What Made Our Day Unique

When we first thought about our wedding, we pictured an elegant, Autumnal, evening celebration in central London – and that’s exactly what Andri created for us! From our ‘first look’ to the late-night cocktails, we couldn’t have asked for a better party with our friends and family. The stunning mix of warm colours, candlelight, gold accents, and black tie dress all made for an amazing night and the perfect start to our married life.

Inspiration & Styling

We wanted an elegant, evening wedding in London in September, which meant lots of warm autumnal colours, candles, and gold touches but of course, that would still fit a classy black-tie vibe. The flowers (Bloomologie) were a great example: still delicate and beautiful, but with deep, vibrant colours that perfectly contrasted with the dress & black tie.

Remembering Loved Ones

Helen's Mum sadly passed away a few years ago, and we wanted to find a way to remember her as part of our wedding. We decided to do this in two ways - firstly by encouraging people to donate to Cancer Research UK instead of our gift list, and secondly, instead of favours we donated ourselves and left donation cards on everyone’s placesetting. The cards themselves had amazing illustrations from Andri (either a male or female in evening dress, inspired by Helen's stylish mum!), and a little remembrance message on the back. It felt a really nice way for Helen's Mum to still be a part of our day.

Wedding Suppliers

Our biggest, first, and best decision was to hire Andri Benson (AlwaysAndri) as our wedding planner. We aren’t the most creatively-minded couple, but she more than made up for that and helped us choose some really fantastic suppliers.
