A Snow Sweet Engagement Shoot

On three, sing it with me Ladies….

‘I’m Dreeeeeeming of a Whiiiiiite Christmas…’

Ahem. Or maybe you’re just hoping to actually make it home for Christmas. Either way (and believe me, more than a few unrepeatable words have passed my lips as a consequence of this weather,) it is undeniably Christmassy, festive, and dare I say it… Romantic?

It’s a little unusual for us to retrospectively feature an engagement shoot, after the wedding, but you might just remember this gorgeous couple from their wedding which graced these very pages a few months back, courtesy of Craig McBeth Photography.

Sarah and Matteo had a Scottish Garden Wedding at Sarah’s parents farm. They had an outdoor ceremony in June with the most gorgeous cake and an emphasis on friends and family. Lush.

They were so lucky that the weather held, but this gorgeous shoot is another example of the luck they had, with the stunning snowy engagement shoot they had with Craig in last years deep snowfall across the country…

I just love the ethereal blue tinged light in these shots. There’s such a sense of the cold in them, but also a whole lotta love :)

Makes you kinda warm inside doesn’t it?

Yours Truly,

Rebecca
xoxo

PS How cute is that dog?

  1. I’ve been ranting a lot lately ( on and offline) about the snow as my flight home for my last-Christmas-as-a-Miss is tonight.
But you know what? Those images have made me feel slightly more comforted and less angry at the devils rain.

Loving the blue haze too. Excited for Christmas now!!!!!!!!!!!

  4. Another one loving that blue ethereal light. It seems to just highlight the love in the cold thing :)

Right ladies, if I make a last minute purchase on mywardrobe.com today, what are the chances of me receiving it in Manchester by Friday d’ya reckon?! They’re not guaranteeing anything for xmas now, but I could pay for next day delivery and keep my fingers crossed.

    Hope you get home Naomi!

  5. Just gorgeous. Thankfully the bride and groom are so beautiful and handsome respectively that the dog doesn’t steal the show! :)

Rebecca I say go for it. It would arrive by New Years anyway – if its for a gift give a print out of it (I have had to resort to this).

Good news ladies. I went home for two hours around 4am and packed the car so I am ready for my looooong drive home today. Brilliant. Back to work now but positively buzzing off engagement winter shoots with blue light and selection boxes and caffene.

I have decided that I am absolutely making it home whether the snow likes it or not. I am in a “don’t mess with me mood today”.

    Whoop whoop for Christmas ladies?

  9. Thanks for the support ladies, I’ll be sure to let you know what the craic is via twitter or blog.

Just noticed something… is the blue panelled background the same as the one in the wedding shots? Was this taken in the same place they had their reception?
If so, how sweet! It’s amazing to see it in such extremes of winter and summer.

It is the same place as the wedding Naomi, Sarah’s family farm. I remember battling through snow to get there and being a little late.

We were limited in possible locations as the weather meant we could have got stuck wherever we went. I think it’s nice to see the contrast in the conditions from July to december though.
