Inspiration

The colours and textures in this morning's stylish winter wedding will have you longing to pull your faux fur and sequins out of your wardrobe - Alyssa and Simon certainly know how to throw a festive shindig. They used a peacock feather as inspiration for their colour palette which means the whole day is filled with opulent purples, blues and golds, even the flowers. The bouquet and arrangements by Jay Archer are just exquisite. Alyssa is a choreographer so naturally, dance played a big part in her wedding day, everyone piled onto the dance floor to join her and Simon following their first dance, for which they wore customised Nikes and baseball hats. Don't worry, it's all been captured beautifully by Irene Yap so you can have a good nosey...

Irene the Photographer: Alyssa & Simon got married at Haymarket Hotel in London a week before Christmas. The theme of their wedding was Christmas/India as they got engaged in front of the Taj Mahal. They incorporated peacock feathers into the decorations, and the cake was the actual scene of their engagement! The bride looked stunning in her Caroline Castigliano dress; she wore a pair of blue glittery Jimmy Choo’s and had a cute little clutch bag to go with it. They also had customised baseball caps and trainers which they used for their first dance - Alyssa is a choreographer so she arranged a pretty epic dance! These two did not stop smiling for the entire day and were such an absolute joy to be around. You could really feel the love in the room from all their friends and family and it made for a truly special day.
