An Elegant Wedding… Part 2

Welcome back for Part 2 of this refined and elegant wedding, with a gorgeous classic colour pallet and stunning photography by Jodie Chapman.

Over to Elaine to continue with the story…

Dressing the Bridal Party…

We brought the bridesmaids dresses from Zara.

The Groom wore a suit brought from Marks and Spencer and completely his choice of style and colour. Extremely smart and it was perfect for the venue.

For the Groomsmen, we hired suits. The colours had a bit of green, pink and blue theme.

The Photographer

Our Photographer was Jodie Chapman.

I first came across Jodie’s work from a friend’s wedding and knew then she had the style I wanted.

I love Jodie’s work and would recommend her to all my friends.

The Cake(s)!

The wedding cake was made by my Matron of Honour Joan – a lovely gesture and was personal. It had Chocolate- my favourite!

The small fairy cakes were made by Waitrose. They were lavender, strawberry, mint and chocolate flavours. They were yummy!

Dinner and Dancing

For entertainment my husband Alistair put together our choice of favourite songs on an iPOD. Believe it or not, it took us a good couple of weeks to put it all together!

Our first dance was to Nat King Cole – L.O.V.E . One of my favourite songs and great to dance to. (We tried anyway!)

We hired chair covers and back ribbons for the ceremony and reception, keeping it simple with Ivory. The table stationery was also ivory with a pink ribbon trim.

I always wanted my wedding to be stress free and it was just that with the help of my beautiful bridesmaids and mum. The day goes flying by so I would advise all future brides to take sometime aside to be with your husband on the day, even if it’s just for the 10 minutes away from your guests and have a drink together to soak up the lovely atmosphere surrounded by friends and family on this special day.

What a very pretty day.

Thank you so much to Elaine and Alistair for allowing us to share their special day and also to Jodie Chapman, the talented photographer, for providing the images.

Yours Truly,

Rebecca
xoxo
