You may have already heard of Severin Hubert and his wife Roz from Hepburn Collection and if you haven’t well…they are the pair that make W-day hair HAPPEN. As in whatever you have dreamt up in your wee bridey head they can re-create it for you. I think they are particularly ace for their ability to do the ultimate 60′s beehive or 70′s flick ‘n’ wave but they don’t just stop at a retro barnet. Oh no. If you want Madam Shiny Locks Middleton half-up pretty they can do that with one shake of their (fancy) comb.
And then there’s the products they use. I am now a fully fledged convert to Milkshake hairspray thanks to its immense hold capabilities but almost imperceptible presence…. Elnett who?
Sev and Roz are here today on the other side of the screen (*waves*) to give you gorgeous lot not only some super styling tips but also answer ANY questions you may have regarding your W-day hair woes.
Take it away experts!

Hepburn Collection: Hair and make-up is usually one of the last things to get booked yet it’s one of the first things people will see when you walk down the aisle, so ensure you don’t leave it too late to begin your research. We would suggest that once you know the style of your dress, start to think about how you would like to wear your hair.
Finding Your Style
The first question to ask yourself is “What type of bride am I?” Do you want to be a classically elegant bride? Perhaps you see yourself as a romantic bride or a boho bride? Or are you more a vintage style bride? We cannot reiterate enough to brides that this is your day and naturally you want to be a beautiful bride, but this doesn’t mean that you should conform to a stereotype. Think carefully about who you are as a person; your personality and your style. If you’ve never liked your hair up, then don’t feel that you need to wear your hair up on your wedding day!
Do Your Homework
Once you are happy with an idea of a hairstyle, start to collect images as reference. You can always narrow them down later if you have too many. Present this to your hairdresser along with the image of your dress. This helps both you and your stylist determine the right style for the day – particularly if you’re using a different hair stylist for the day. He/she will need to get to know you and understand what you’re looking for. They will take into consideration the shape of your face, discuss your best features and the one’s that you are not so fond of. It’s so important that you connect as you are putting your total trust in this person and they will be with you on the morning of your big day so you have to be 100% happy! Don’t be afraid to do your research – one of the best ways of finding a hairdresser is through recommendation. Also ask to see their portfolio of work but make sure they have plenty of real brides pictures; images of shoots are great but they are not the ‘real’ thing.

The Trial Run
Once you’ve found a hairdresser it’s time to book your trial. It’s a good idea to book the trial at least 3-4 months before the big day. In the event that the style you had in mind doesn’t suit you, you still have plenty of time to research again. Many of our brides ask us if they can bring a friend or mum on the trial day. Our answer is always yes but we suggest that brides restrict it just one or two people as too many can be a little overwhelming. It’s important that you’re not pressured into thinking you have to have your hair accessories with you on the day. It may be that you don’t need accessories at all and this can be determined after the trial once you’ve decided on the style. Once you have found a good stylist they will be able to advise on what would look right.
Hair TLC
We all live busy lives, especially when organising a wedding! However, it’s important to keep in mind that if you don’t look after yourselves, this will have a knock on effect on the hair. Apart from eating your five fruit and veg daily with plenty of water, we would recommend treating yourself to a course of deep conditioning treatments at least 2-3 months before the wedding. If you can afford to it’s recommended that you visit your salon, otherwise you can buy some excellent treatments over the counter. Please though, don’t do this the night before your wedding day as you will have one unhappy stylist – the hair will be too soft and slippery! Apply once a week and book your last treatment a few days before.
Decide on the colour you would like approximately three months prior to the wedding day and stick with it! Your final colour should be applied 1 – 2 weeks before. It’s fine to have your hair trimmed but liaise with your hairdresser who will be styling your hair on your wedding day.

On The Day
On your wedding day, most stylists will advise on NO conditioner. They will bring their own hair products on the day that are designed to hold the style whilst adding shine. It’s the one piece of information that we strongly advise. Your hairdresser needs to have total control over the hair and conditioner can make it too soft and unmanageable.
Once your hair and make-up is complete, we take a step back to allow the bride to get into her dress. Once in her dress we check the hair one last time, attach the veil (if wearing one) and then voila – our job is done!

So then lovelies…. go forth and ask away, not only will you gain some useful advice but you could also be in with a chance of winning some lomography camera greatness…

Yay! Great post, some really useful tips!! I’m 3 And a half months until my w-day currently so this top of my agenda. I have 2 questions, 1 – I have medium to fine hair and I’m hoping my hairdresser will achieve a full 60s beehive, am I dreaming or can finer hair a achieve this? And 2, I plan on wearing my fringe down all day, but it does tend to separate by the end of the day when it gets a little greasy – I have to was my hair everyday! But is there anything I can do to stop this from ruining my w-day? Thank you!! X
Hi there! I have quite fizzy hair that gets worse if it is hot or humid (I’m getting married in September so not quite sure what the weather will be like!) and wondered what the best style would be to keep it as neat as possible all day. Would you recommend a big bun? my hair is quite thick and long! Thanks
*Frizzy not fizzy hair ha ha ha!
Hello, I am so pleased you have some lovely hair experts as I am starting to plan the details of my w day Barnett . I have a couple of questions, what’s the best deep conditioning products you suggest to start using, also Is there any bargain products you would recommend ? Also the best products to make my planned boho do stay all day and look natural? Can’t stand crispy curls!!! X
Love this post! As this is the issue that’s bothering me most for W-Day. I have very fine just past my chin length bob hair. For one day I would love to have princess worthy hair! I see myself as a romantic princess bride and I have a strapless tulle ballgown dress. I would like to know what style you think would suit this look? Also I will need some hair extensions for the day. I would like clip in ones but have never used them before. Will I have to buy these myself before my hair trial? I look forward to your response! Xx
Also loving the accessory on the blonde model, any idea where it is from? X
I have red hair (which I love, team ginge) but it does tend to change between a dull ginger and a bright ginger…and I have no idea why!!! Is it down to the seasons, something I am eating, shampoo / conditior? Can you recommend anything that would help keep it nice and bright?
Thanks!
Having my hair and make up trial this weekend so this post couldn’t have come at a better time…it’s nice to have it reconfirmed that I don’t have to have ‘bride’ hair if I don’t want to! I am going for a super messy, super pouffy top knot with my very blunt fringe…I picked the girl I have booked purely on the fact that all her ‘real brides’ don’t actually look too bridal…
Ooh my questions are very similar to Emma’s – mostly, the fringe. How to keep it clean and fresh? xox
some great tips there….thank you! i can comfort myself that i am on the right track! more hair features would be fab! xx
An interesting post, useful advice, especially regarding no conditioner. I’d never have thought of that, although I have really fine hair that always gets weighed down by it. Like a post above, my hair is frizzy/curly yet fine. Any advice on how to blow dry my hair to get volume without the frizz. I’d still like to have wave rather than poker straight. I’ll be doing my own hair, which is preferable to be honest as I’ve not found a hairdresser to cope with my tresess. They only seem able to give me flat, poker straight blow dries.
Ooh Yay! Love a bit of hair advice! I’m also going to be wearing clip in extensions to get more body mainly. Where do I buy them from? Would you dye them to match your hair? Would you get different tones? I’m in London/Surrey – thank you!
Rachie xo
Morning Emma, please don’t despair with your fine hair, to create that 60′s beehive add mousse to the hair before setting and for the finale, back comb starting at the roots…lots of hair!
For the fringe, condition your hair but not your fringe and try using a dry shampoo or powder between shampoos to tame the oily factor. Something else to think about, what type of foundation are you using? Look for a water based one and last but not least invest in a packet of inexpensive blotting papers, they’re great for absorbing excess oil. Hope this helps Emma.
My hair is light brown but goes gingery which I hate…. but dying it a cool brown tends to make it dark. Any suggestions on what I can use to tone down the ginger? I wish I had the skintone to get away with being a member of ‘team ginge’! x
I’m currently growing my hair for my wedding in mid August, it’s collar length at the moment, but what’s your advice on encouraging hair growth? I’m thinking of using some clip in extensions to help bulk my hair out a bit but I don’t want it to look obvious! Any tips on getting a couple of extra inches between now and then (!) would be most appreciated – thanks.
I’m wearing a one shoulder tulle princess dress, which is quite blingy, but I’m not particularly princessy myself..I just love the dress. I’ve considered a relaxed hairstyle, tied/curled at one side (or even a side bun) perhaps incorporating a plait somewhere..do you think this would work? Can you suggest any other ways to keep a relaxed, kinda cool style with a rather girly and ott dress? Thanks!
Hello there Rachel, I agree the weather in September could be unpredictable and if your hair is prone to being frizzy the last thing to want to do is to be worrying. An up do would be a great choice as this would help to control the problem. Remember though, there are lots of variations for you to think about, so please don’t think your limited to choice of styles.
Thanks for the advice…I have three months to go and still haven’t decided on what to do hair wise as we are having separate day and evening events with different outfits! With curly long locks I was thinking a loose bun with fresh flowers (no veil)…I have no regular hairdresser at the moment so abit panicky…any recommendations in edinburgh?
Great tips! Will be passing this on to some brides I know
Love this post, and LOVE the fact that you are specialists with the beehive, as I have a beehive-headache! I want an up do which is sleep (no bits falling down around my face) and stylish, so I am leaning towards a beehive type style. However, I have a tiara (does that work with a beehive?), I don’t have a fringe (so worried it might be a bit severe) and I also think I want to have my veil over my face as I walk down the aisle (will this look ridiculous? Where do I even clip it in?). This is made all the worse by the fact that I can only find about 3 pictures of beehive bridal styles online – waaaa! Your help would be much appreciated x
Hi
I’m getting married in August and have very thick wavy hair (it takes two hairstylists to dry it most of the time!). It also goes a bit frizzy if the right products aren’t used. I think having my hair up makes me look older so I would like to go with a half up / half down style. Would you recommend getting my hair thinned out before then or suggest the best product I can use to keep it in shape on the day?
Thanks for the tips in the post!
I meant sleek, not sleep! LOL
Hi Rachie, try Cinderella Hair, they are based in North London. They have a great website with lots of info. If you can’t find the colour you need, your hairdresser will be able to colour them to match yours.
oh i do love a bit of hair talk, hello Sev and Roz (*waves*) i have one little question, having thick frizzy naturally curly hair i have tried alot of products to tame the tresses over the years, but there is one thing im not sure about. Im planning on having a quiff (not sure on the size yet but with a veil) and occasionally quiff my hair but i haven’t found the right product to tame the frizz and hold it place all night to get it looking ‘oh naturale’. Thank you for giving us the ultimate GOOD HAIR DAY advice!!
Louise: Believe it or not you still have plenty of time to grow those extra 2 inches, just make sure you have the hair trimmed (I mean literally just take the ends off) regularly, this encourages the hair to grow. And of course a good diet is a must! Clip-in hair extensions is another option to give a little more length and volume, chat with your hairdresser and he/she will advise.
Ahhh, the blonde curls are so beautiful!
I am probably going to have a half up/half down do with loose curls. I have a veil, which I will wear at the back of my head, I imagine where the “up” part of my hair is clipped. I want some bling in my hair, but really don’t like or suit tiaras, side tiaras, hair bands, etc. I would like a comb or slide in the back of my hair (directly above the veil) but am worried about placement if I have the veil clipped in. This sounds silly, but are things going to get a bit crowded back there with the comb on the veil plus the blingy comb?! I picture the bling not being able to slot into place. Please reassure me or make some other suggestions for how to incorporate a little bit of sparkle!
What a ridiculous “problem” I have!!
Hi Roz & Severin!
Thanks for all this super-useful advice!
I’ve got really long hair (waist length), and I want to show off the length, but also have the hair off my back because my wedding is in a hot place at a hot time!
I’ve thought of some sort of side pony-tail over my shoulder, but I’ve never worn my hair like that in my life, so I’m thinking I’d feel weird (last thing I want on W-day!).
Have you got any suggestions?
Thanks so much!
Christina
Hello Roz & Severin!
I have lots of ‘new hair’ (short sticky uppy hair) and I am planning to have a low bun.
How do I keep the short hairs down all day?
So helpful thank you!! And never thought about the foundation before but makes a lot of sense!! Thank you thank you thank you! x
Hi,
This post is great, the hair is so beautiful. I have long dark quite thin hair that has a wave in it that I normally straighten out. I’d love curls like the first picture that will last all day for my wedding but I can never get it right when I curl my hair and then when it looks ok it falls out really quickly, any tips?
I’d quite like to have a side bun, but can you have this style and still wear a veil? Thankyou x
@Pamela: Team Ginge too! Although technically more auburn but red and proud in any case.
People were horrified when I had my long hair bobbed after getting engaged but as much as I love long hair, mine was too fine to ever look good. But I saw a couple of pics of brides with bobs and they looked great!
I was never going to have it wavy (as I don’t have wavy hair – seems odd to pretend to be something other than you are) or up as my fiance doesn’t like it tied back. My sister-in-law had a ringlet hair piece and I couldn’t stop staring at them, thinking they were odd and fake and how strange they’d look when you took them off – not for me either.
Lovely post. Great tips. So important for brides to know no matter what their hair is like there are some very talented people to make it perfect for their big day. Love the photos too.
Hi there Hair experts
My dilemma is that I’m getting married abroad so having to trust a hair stylist I’ve not met !! Eeekkkk… I’m going for a breakfast at Tiffanys inspired bee-hive – I love the brooch style jewellery to be positioned at the front of my hair – Audrey stylee!!
Can u advise where to find these… Or how to adapt a standard brooch to be pinned into my hair ???? (will it be too heavy)?!!
Many thanks …. 4months & counting
GG x
@Peridot…ha, thanks! A girl in my office was horrified to discover that I wouldn’t be going for a ‘French pleat with some of those dainty hair pearls you can buy’…
Am sure some people really rock that neat, classic elegance look on their big day…but considering that I struggle to run a comb through mine most days and enjoy it ‘big’…I just couldn’t do it on my wedding day…
My mother in law will think I look odd and slightly random but who cares?!
Question to Charlotte – I’ve taken your suggestion and immediately gone over to the milkshake website. Which products would you suggest? I have quite fine, limp and frankly boring hair that looks dirty very quickly (and not in a good way!) and these look like my miracle cure!
Hiya and help! I have a blonde, chin length bob with a blunt fringe (think early Lady Gaga!). I can’t put it up, am struggling to grow it and don’t want hair extensions so struggling for ideas! Can you give me any tips for getting it in tip-top condition for the big day (not until next May so plenty of time!) and do you have any vintage-style inspirational ideas for shorter hair? Thank you! x
Hello Severin & Roz
I’m also hoping to wear a big messy beehive. What length hair is ideal? Mine is currently shoulder length and I’ve got 3.5 months left. How long would it take to do this style? Thanks x
Nice inpirations! Be great so see more fun hair do’s on actual brides these are some great ideas. Bring back th eswinging 60′s
Thank you v much for the brilliant tips, this is such a useful post!
Ok I have no questions. NOT because I know it all, quite the oposite! I never do anything really with my hair and just let those that know better sort it out for me!
But I do want one of those lovely cameras!!!
And having had the most wonderful experience of Severin giving me the biggest and best hair do EVER I’d like to just add – he rocks!
Love this post, but with short hair, would love some advice on what a bride with a bob could do on the big day!?
Hello there!
I have shoulder length, medium thickness hair. I’m wearing a mini tophat with a birdcage veil on my big day. Any ideas on good styles for this look. I’m trying to hit a stylish/vogue look but nothing too crazy!
Amie xx
Great tips, will be passing this onto my sis so she can start planning her wedding day hair
Aww Ros and Sev! Loved the hen night and my hair and how fast you made it look all spiffy!
I am still trying to achieve my wedding hair, however our main sticking point is getting enough volume at the front to then make a french plait. As my hair is thin, the plait looks really thin n naff. I defo don’t want a fake plait, and backcombing equals no fingers getting through to plait it!
Any tips for fattening up front sections to enable a thicker plait. Its kinda like two plaits, headband type plait, starting from each side then attaching under the crown, volume at the crown, then a big bun at the bottom.
Many thanks you lovely hair wizzes!!
xx
I live in London but am getting married in Ireland so will be doing my own hair. I’m planning to wear it up (it’s thick and wavy) to minimize the frizz potential (damp in Ireland plus tendency to frizz). What would you say is the best up-do to do yourself? Thanks! PS I’d love a camera too!
Ladies, if you are yet to book your hairdresser, I would highly recommend Roz and Sev, they are both absoloute stars and make you feel so amazing on your wedding day. Not only is Sev a hair genious but Roz is such a lovely person whenever I rang her for a chat she felt like an old friend.
I haven’t had my hair done since my wedding (12.12.11) and am going to my usual hairdresser tommorow (Sev is a few hundred miles away
) , but this post is such a coincidence because all day I have been thinking to myself what would Sev recommend? his wedding hair advice was invauluable. They were truly one of my best wedding day finds xx
A bit of a random question, but do you happen to have any northern irish hairdressing contacts you could recommend? I just want a hairdresser to do my hair to get rid of any stress about it on the day! Xx
Bonjour Sev and Roz. One question, do you think someone who offers both a hair and make-up service is (sorry to coin the phrase) “Jack of all trades, master of none”? Do you think it is better to book a specialist in both?
Exactly Pamela, this is about you and what makes you feel comfortable. I’m sure your husband-to-be would agree as well!
Hi Carrie, I’m so sorry we don’t. However, we are going to be in Ireland working soon. Perhaps we could help you out
)
Hello Mrs Howells, thank you sooooo much for your kind words! We consider ourselves very lucky to have such lovely brides, so a big thank you to you for allowing us to be part of your special day!
Hi Josie, an easy up do you can try is the messy side bun, go with a relaxed, looser feel and add a little sparkle for a touch of glamour.
Aimie we’re jealous, we want to be there at your wedding. Top hat with a birdcage veil…stunning! How about a sleek low bun at the back.
Sorry Amie, I had spelt your name wrong.
Hi Stacey, of course you can wear a veil with a side bun, try placing it on the crown
Thanks Amanda, it was our pleasure. We’d like one of those cameras as well!
Hi there H, it’s all about the products and blow dry. Add mousse into the hair, followed by a good blow dry, lifting the hair from the roots with a round bristle brush. Then last but not least good old fashioned heated rollers. Leave to set for a while, take out and place your head back. Now run your finger tips through your hair to break up the curls and place where desired. Finish by a good firm hold hair spray.
Hi Frances, have you thought about having some long layers put into your hair? But make sure you do before having your trial
)
Hi. Not sure if I’m too late to get my question in. I have fine shoulder length hair and am taking inspiration from the 40s for my day so thinking of marcel waves. Would this suit my hair type do you think? And can most hairdressers acheive this look or do I need a specialist? Thanks for any tips!
Not at all Lauren, the comb on the veil you will not see as this will be hidden by the hair so you can have your jewelled comb.
Christina trust me you will be bang on trend if you go for the pony tail and perfect for a hot climate. Try adding a single fresh flower to add a little glamour.
Good evening Genevieve, you can create some beautiful marcel waves on your type of hair but unfortunately not all hairdressers have been taught this special way of styling. You may have to do some research…will be worth it though!
I love the hair flower in the bun on brunette model – looking for something similar. Simple but elegant – Charlotte/Roz/Severin any ideas where you got this from & where I could find similar? Thanks for post & lots of useful answers to great great questions girls!
Hi Sarah, beautiful isn’t it
) – this came from a lovely lady called Beverly Lister, she has a shop in Guildford called Evangeline Rose Bridal.
We love red hair Pamela!
The number one complaint from women with red hair is that their hair colour quickly fades. Unfortunately it’s natural for the pigment to leave the hair after some time but what you can do is maintain the shine with a fabulous hair product range called Argan. Treat yourself to the shampoo, conditioner and oil (really love the oil, I use it all the time). These will definitely give shine to your hair.
Rather late to ask a question not sure if it will get answered but I’ve got long thickish hair and want to have it wavy and relaxed but still looking polished and styled and not like I’ve just left it to dry naturally I’m also really scared it all drops and I look like I’ve got rats tails for hair by the end of the night as my hair just never seems to hold a curl all night let alone all day and night, is this the hairdresser I’m going to or is it that my hair is just to long and heavy? As I was considering going to a posh local salon to see if they could make it hold but don’t want to waste my money if it’s just my type of hair xx
This beautiful hair jewellery Angela can be found by a company called Magpie Vintage Jewellery – owned by 2 adorable ladies who design wedding bridal and couture jewellery. If you have a particular idea in mind they will design it for you as well!
Hi Faye, would you consider having just a few long layers put in. This would help to keep those curls from falling out. Another factor to think about is, make sure your hairdresser on the day blow dry’s the hair first, this will give you beautiful shine and sleekness, which is a must for the preparation of your hair do. You mention perhaps going to a posh salon to get a better result – this doesn’t necessarily mean you will, why not ask friends/family for recommendations.
Fantastic blog post. Sound advice. Essential for brides to be.
Hallo, I have very thick hair cut into a short bob (this is easy for me to manage as otherwise it just gets tied in a ponytail). I am planning to get my hair trimmed the week before the wedding and blow dried on the day. But my usual hairdresser is on holiday on the big day – I know that sounds ridiculous to panic about a professional blow dry, and paying someone for something so simple, but it does look better when professionally done and they always use good products too because they know my stupidly thick hair. Everyone else I ask also seems to be on holiday (we-day is august bank hol). Getting married in Warwickshire – any recommendations? Or should I just do it myself?!
Great advice, thanks Roz and Severin. I’ll have to get myself a decent brush. some heated rollers and a hairspray then give it a go. One day I will be good at blow drying my hair, promise! x
Hi there all, sorry for the technical problem yesterday, thankfully the RMW guys got it up and running again
)
This answer goes to Yvonne. Morning bride-to be, first of all to keep your hair tip top condition treat yourself to a deep conditioning treatment about 2 – 3 months before the big day, thankfully you can buy some very good brands over the counter now so it doesn’t have to be super expensive. And please try to eat a good healthy diet, drinking plenty of water.
Ideas for your hair – Marcel wave in your type of hair would look fab (bob) or, to make it easier why not go for a straight blow dry but treat yourself to a bold sassy bird cage veil…now that would look stunning!
Hi Sarah, It doesn’t matter that you only want a blow dry for your wedding day, your hair is important, whatever style is chosen. You say your wedding is the Aug bank holiday, so I’m assuming you mean not the weekend but actually on the Monday? If this is so, then a hairdressing shop will be closed of course, so it does mean looking for somebody who will come to you. You may have to pay more, especially if there is nobody local, otherwise the only other option is to blow dry yourself. Why not go to your hairdresser and ask if he/she would give you a couple of lessons on how to do it yourself…hope this helps you?
Thanks for the advice guys! Definitely going to look at bird cage veils asap! : ) xxx
Hi GG, we love Audrey (of course, hence the name Hepburn Collection) and I think to incorporate a brooch into the hair will look AMAZING!! Fortunately now you can source sparkly/bling jewellery from almost anywhere. I would start to hunt out any antique markets, jumble sales, charity shops etc – you will surely find something and probably would cost you almost nothing…even better! You can easily adapt the brooch, just take off the pin, unless you like the idea of placing it onto a silk band and position it around the bun (another idea). Otherwise, your hairdresser will be able to secure it for you with grips (trust me if he/she is a good hairdresser, they will know how to secure it). Please let us see some pics after the wedding.
Hi Angela, The key to beautiful boho waves is minimal frizz, to keep at bay make sure your hair is as moisturised as possible. Try Smoothing Cream and Dove Intense Repair Treatment Mask (inexpensive as well), or if you want to spend a little bit more, try Milk_shake Glistening Argan Oil. To help style on the day use Oriflame Hair X Styling Gloss Booster Spray – spray a liberal amount to roots and ends, or a light mousse in the hair. Finishing with a light hair spray if desired.
Hi Tori, I’ve just answered a similar question from Angela, check out what I answered for her and hopefully this will help you out, if not let me know – thanks
Hi Jill, hopefully if you look at Yvonne’s answer you will get some ideas for your short bob
)
Bonjour Kelly – a good question. Hair and make-up is an art and perhaps to specialise in one is more beneficial to both the client and the artist. To understand hair we feel it’s important to have trained first as a hairdresser in a salon/college, which actually takes 3 years of hard work! It isn’t just about knocking out some hair do, it’s about understanding the physics and chemistry of the hair – there are many types of hair and some can be more challenging than others
). Then there is the training in dressing hair, one or two courses is simply not enough, you need to refresh regularly. Equally, this applies to make-up as well.
We like to think there is a service for everybody and if a bride wants someone to do both, just make sure you do your research (recommendation is always the best). Unfortunately finding someone to do both well, maybe more of a challenge.
Hi Melanie, we worked in Edinburgh last year, beautiful wedding! Unfortunately we don’t have any contacts for that area but if money allowing, you could try to source someone in a different area.
More and more of our brides are changing their outfits for the evening and quite often they will have a second look for their hair. You could do this, or to save money, have your little up do for the first look then take it down, place your head back, run your hands through your hair, spray with a little hairspray and VIOLA…number 2 look!
Hello PrincessBride, yes I think hair extensions would be a good option for the kind of look your wanting. If you want to purchase yourself, do some research but American Dream is one company and they will be able to advise you on what to do. Just make sure you purchase real hair though. Otherwise to take the headache away from your already busy planning, find a hairdresser who will source for you, if like us, they may hire out for the day. Ideas for hair styles – perhaps to have the hair down with lots of curls/waves or maybe half up, half down. Your dress sound dreamy so therefore the hair need to be as well
)
Good Afternoon Stacy, Sorry for the late reply – The beehive needn’t look severe at all, if it’s not scrapped back too much and left a little loose, this will work. For your tiara, try placing it at the front of the beehive and your veil should be placed at the back of your head.
Hi Alex, great day wasn’t it
)
Try taking bigger sections to create a thick braid and with your finger tips pull each section, the more you pull you’ll give the illusion of a thicker braid.
Hello Mimi (love your name), Blow dry the hair (adding mousse first to the roots and ends) to give a smooth base. When creating your bun, brush your hair with a bristle brush and tie with an elastic band. Now with a fine tooth comb, spray a fine mist of hairspray over it and comb over those short ends until they lay flat. When your bun is finished spray again.
Thank you SO much!
Thank you to all you lovely brides-to-be for all your super questions. I hope we’ve helped in some way with your hair dilemmas.
