Putting this post together has made me really excited for the beautiful season of Autumn which lies before us. I'm a summer girl through and through, but there's something about crisp leaves, cold clear mornings and rich and opulent colours that gets me every time. Autumn is truly a season of beautiful decor and so we can completely understand why lots of you chose to get married at this time of year. Traditionally, it's been the season for enjoying the bounty of the harvest too, so it feels like a natural partner to the wedding celebration. It's a time for feasting, lighting fires and revelling in the beauty of nature. Today we're bringing you some Autumnal inspiration courtesy of our hand-picked wedding suppliers, The List. Berry Tones
I'm a firm believer in taking inspiration from your natural surroundings - the venue, the countryside around your venues and the time of year for your wedding decor. It makes the final result look more organic, natural and there's less risk of things looking over-styled. If you do want to favour a certain palette of colours, then you can't really go wrong with berry tones. Rich, opulent and warm - they are the perfect addition to make a room look cosy and inviting. 
Foliage Heaven
Make the most of the abundance of colourful leaves on the trees. It's also a time where the evergreen plants begin to come into their own, as the summer blooms fade away. It's very on trend on the moment, but we love the minimal look that purely using foliage can achieve. It's like adding a plant to a room in your home - it's refreshing and cleansing, so why not do the same for your wedding day? Plus lots of plants offer a heady scent, creating a gorgeous ambience for your guests. Think woodsmoke on a crisp, bright evening as the sun sets low in the sky. 
Natural Colours
Autumn is a season with colour in abundance, so embrace it! There are not many other occasions where orange can be incorporated into your day tastefully ;) From the brightest shade of fiery red to rich golden yellows and vibrant glowing greens - if it's natural, it will look beautiful. Pared with browns, ivories and greys, it's the perfect way to honour the season in which you're getting married.
