We have 3 posts for you today – because we wanted to share a few of the “behind the scenes” details with you all as well as our commitment to providing daily Big Day inspiration.
So far it has been an amazing first 8 weeks here at RMW HQ. There has been blood, sweat and plenty of tears ( ok may have exaggerated on the blood front a wee bit) but my goodness has it all been worth it.
We have met some amazing brides, photographers and suppliers not to mention having so many hits our host provider had to create us a special “bespoke” package as we had run through their Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum offerings just 6 weeks in…..
It really makes it all worthwhile – knowing that we must be in some way doing something right.
We never set out to pretend to be “wedding experts” as we definitely are not, but we do LOVE weddings, looking at beautiful imagery, finding unique chic suppliers and sharing it all with like-minded folk.
And we work really hard to do our research and give you some blindin’ eye candy and useful information at least 6 days a week – we are big fans of blogs so we were damn well going to make sure ours was up to scratch.
From an aesthetic/branding perspective we wanted Rock My Wedding to be fresh, pretty and easy to follow, it doesn’t take a genius to know you are never going to attract a wide audience with a feature colour of vomit green, mustard yellow or pooh brown for example…or a million zillion sub sections where it is so easy to get lost in translation.
Neither do we want to come across as completely up our own ar$e or talk utter boll*x about things that frankly we have no right to – we want to appeal to ALL of you gorgeous future brides ( and marrieds) out there. If we want to talk about something specific we make sure we do consult the real Industry experts and really really listen and learn from them.
We don’t restrict ourselves to a “type” of wedding either – contemporary, vintage, traditional…..in a church, in a great big manor house, in a tiny tent or in the middle of a bloomin’ rain soaked field WE DON”T CARE.
As long as it has the pretty and some unique detail we want to tell you about it.
We want something for everyone you see.
What you see is the first cut of this here blog, so much has been going on in this last fortnight it would take me all night just to explain what we have been up to and to be honest we don’t want to bore the pants off everyone with all the technical details ( to make it look good some of this behind the scenes malarky is particularly yawn worthy – HTML anyone?).
What we are getting at is to say a big Thank You – for all your support, loyalty and continual feedback and we want you to know that we certainly don’t take it for granted.
We are constantly striving to make Rock My Wedding a place that you guys want to visit often, a little haven of lovely stuff in the midst of a sometimes gloomy day.
Over the next few weeks we’ll be sharing a whole lot more.
Thanks for listening.
Big Love
The RMW Team xxx

I’m rather a quiet kitty and would never normally comment, but this time I felt I had to – in order to say a *huge* thank you back – to all of you at RMW.
You have the most impeccable taste and this beautiful blog is testament to that. Ladies, it’s an absolute triumph, I *adore* reading your posts and look forward to many more.
Much love and stripes, direct from the cat’s whiskers.xxx
Hi RMW guys,
Just a quick message to say that all the blood, sweat and tears is soooo worth it. I’ve been with you guys from the beginning of CAOS’ yayw thread and absolutely love everything about RMW. It’s my daily ‘wedding porn’ and I find myself checking the site every morning with breakfast, I’m a little obsessed actually. My name’s Olivia and I’m a RMWaholic!!!!
xx
The sign of a good blog is one that you have saved in your favourites and check now and again, when you remember, for updates. The sign of a great blog is one that you check after email and facebook and if you don’t get time, you get ratty! Ladies I love this blog, it brightens up my mornings at work, it’s made shopping and makeup application fun again, and I love the fact that it’s not just super-pricey, colour-coordinating model-esque weddings that are shown, but that the focus is on the love, the fun, the unique. It’s a pleasure to read and thank you all so much for your hard work and commitment.
Even though I am an old married now (3 months last Saturday) – I still can’t help myself checking RMW everyday for updates – I am officially hooked! It has so much appeal, not only to those planning a wedding but also to everyone who loves Love, pretty things and the next big thing in beauty. You’ve got it all girls, your hard work has certainly paid of!
Long Live Love and Rock My Wedding!
xXx
Another girl saying thank you for starting this blog. I have a Google Reader full of American blogs (SMP, Weddingbee etc) but was getting so frustrated about all the things that I was seeing but couldn’t get hold of for my wedding. A UK based design inspired wedding blog has been much needed. Thank you x
Thanks to the RMW team, it’s my new favourite wedding blog! x
Charlotte & Team, from the minute we saw CAOS and the RMW culture form before our eyes on yayw, we all knew something good was going to come of it, some things are just meant to be and it’s worth the blood, sweat and tears because it’s the best fricking uk blog by far – and i’m not just saying that as a guest writer (although I am slightly biased!)
I feel so lucky to be a part of it, thank you from the bottom of my heart
Jenny xx
I love love love everything you do, Every morning I check out your site its the first thing I do. I am addicted. Everyone on the RMW has amazing taste and you always have great inspiring ideas. I know that even after my wedding next July that I will continue to have my daily fix xxxx
Wow, I’m quite stunned to be so appreciated! And I know Charlotte will be smiling from ear to ear too! Makes all the late nights, .jpg nightmares and bad blog research worthwhile
It’s so great to hear your feedback guys, a big thank you back!

Hi everyone
I am indeed smiling from ear to ear, the best thing in the world is to hear how above all else we make people happy and inspired.
We’ll do our hardest to make this blog bloomin’ rock.
Promise no mustard yellow scariness or talking out of our backsides ( and if we do please let us know ASAP!)
Big Love Ladies

Just wanted to say that I completely agree with Anna K – I knew that I’d become a RMW addict when it became the site that I visit as soon as I’ve checked my emails.
I really like the fact that you mix stuff up and aren’t afraid to show us different types of wedding styles and ideas. Surely I can’t be the only person who’s a tinsy bit fed up of seeing practically identical weddings (even if they are gorgeous) on SMP week after week?
Special shout outs from me go to Melissa’s super duper make-up tips and the fab dresses that you’ve picked out as possible high street styleee bridesmaid dresses.
Anyway, enough gushing from me – just keep the ideas and pictures coming ladies. I love ‘em!xxx
Ah I’m glad the RMW team are pleased with these replies.
You deserve all the best- this site is so personal and you can tell from reading each and every entry that a lot of hard work has gone into it, so please know that it is apprecited!
I really hope you keep it running….and running…and running…. because I am sure that you will inspire thousands of weddings to come.
Congrats to you all,
x

HI I am a wedding planner and I love this site!! As commented before its lovely to see american ideas but they are a bit the same, and of course its much more difficult to source the items mentioned. The brides on here are full of inspiration and enthusiasm, their weddings are both beautiful and thoughtful for all concerned.
I love it!! long may it run! xx
sorry for duplication, finger trouble!
