Black Label By Flo And Percy.

When you think about your bridal headpiece do you think “Well y’know it’s W-day… if I’m going to wear something jaw-droppingly gorgeous it may as well be on this day of all days” – everyones eyes on you, the most important pair of peepers belonging to your future Mr admiring you as you begin your perfect aisle decent….

(Ahem. Got all a bit misty eyed their folks.)

And when you think of jaw-droppingly gorgeous do you also think one-of-a-kind?

Well if you do, Kirstie Taylor, founder of Flo and Percy has designed a collection of bespoke headwear that will literally leave folks mouths hitting the floor in admiration – Black Label, released today at 9am.

Using a blend of modern and vintage materials Kirstie has created a range of very special heirloom headpieces fit for the discerning bride. Or anyone who wants to look especially lovely for that matter.

Take a peek at a selection of our favourites lovelies:

Every piece comes in a luxury keepsake box with a handwritten note from Kirsty telling you all about its history and the inspiration behind the design. And of course you can be safe in the knowledge that you will be the proud owner of a genuinely unique item.

Any of the RMW community going bespoke for W-day?

Any of these pieces take your Monday morning fancy?

I want that diamante tiara and I want it now darn it. And if I were lucky enough to own such a beautiful accessory I would make sure I wore it EVERY. SINGLE. DAY.

Go check out the rest of the Black Label collection on the Flo and Percy website people.

So, I would very much like the diamante tiara. I would like it before Wednesday evening (this week) so that when I am watching the programme about Elizabeth Taylor’s diamonds I can wear it (along with every other piece of jewellery I own) and pretend that I am insured for a hundred gazillion pounds. The Big C has already decided he is going out on Wednesday night. He cannot take too much Elizabeth Taylor love. He declared last night that the Richard Burton ring was ‘too big for her fingers’. No love, no. It’s a diamond. It can’t be too big.

  2. Woooo I am loving that they are using vintage pieces, may take a sneaky peak at the rest of the collection. Nice bit of sparkle for a Monday!

When dress trying on I tried on some head pieces and realised I need a side effort, a full head banda or tiara makes my round face even rounder!

  3. @Pamela – For the first time in like forever I actually went through the Sunday Times supplement to look at TV shows we should watch/sky plus etc … and I am so watching that Elizabeth Taylor one, LOVE HER. I am impressed the BIg C knows who she is, James didn’t have a scooby clue until he saw a picture (how can you not know who Elizabeth Taylor is?!) I can see myself pointing out various jewels and announcing “Hmmm it is our 3 year anniversary next month, surely that warrants an eternity ring of some kind….?”

@One Jolly Girl – I had never thought of that pet, I too am blessed with a head like the moon – although I do find a side parting makes my head a bit less globe like so I get your point. Definitely have a sneak peek though – there is lots of pretty to see!

I already have a Flo and Percy piece for the big day but these are gorgeous! My favourite is the last one x

@Charlotte – of course the Big C knows who Elizabeth Taylor is! Now, don’t get me wrong, he doesn’t look like he is, or have any such mannerisms, but there is something ever so slightly camp about the Big C’s interests…

He likes old school 70s disco and has more than once proclaimed he is coming back as a gay man in 1970s America so he can go to the Paradise Garage. He loves a read of a fashion magazine, is HIGHLY critical of Kim Kardashian’s thighs and general behavious (“Kourtney is so the best Kardashian and she goes out with Scott who has a cane…I’d like a cane for the wedding…”) and loves a bit of the Auds. The Big C is all about the glamour and groomed ladies. God knows how he ended up with me…I lost my one and only hair brush on Thursday and am yet to replace it. Was at the Grand National yesterday and a girl asked me how I got my hair so big – sleep in the same beehive for three nights running and just keep pinning it up…I am dreading having to get a comb through it tonight.

  10. Annie says:

Oooo! Am a fan of the gold eclectic band…3rd one down! V. pretty :) Have found something similar on Etsy as a hair comb so am chufties I am even slightly ‘on trend’! Loving the Eliz T chat, am thinking I may also be viewing aformentioned program and drooling at the jewels :)
    @Pam…Big C sounds ace!

  11. Being a Flo & Percy bride myself, I am completely in love with all their pieces! Such a beautiful idea to have something so personal and unique xo

  12. @Pamela – Oh my, I’m not sure Mr O’Shea would know who the Kardashians are (!) and I am so with you on sleeping in a beehive for 3 days straight then having to get a comb through it… Aussie 3 minute miracle pet, leave it on longer mind (than 3 minutes!) and comb through with a tangle teaser whilst in the shower..

  13. Pamela says:

@Charlotte – last time I slept for this long on 107 bobby pins there were tears…I am considering just leaving it forever now…it kind of looks a bit avant garde…

  14. Anne says:

I’ve gone bespoke but not from F&P, much as their stuff is lovely, Gillian Million is making me a headpiece. Had the most fun day ever going to her shop with my mum to talk ideas and try on pretty things…

  15. Faye says:

    I can’t decide between a headpiece or a veil, I know I could wear both but….ahhhh can’t decide!

  16. Pamela says:

@Faye – I think your wedding isn’t a either / or situation, love! Wear both!

    xo

  17. Rachie says:

These are gorgeous – however I wanted some hair clips with pearl and gold centres so commissioned Mignonne handmade to make some http://mignonnehandmade.com/

They arrived today and they are beautiful!

    Rachie xo

  18. Anne says:

@Faye why do you need to choose?! I’m wearing both for the ceremony then losing the veil for the reception.
