Blush And Ivory.

Rebecca has mentioned this before on Rock My Wedding – sometimes a Big Day will be on a whole quite traditional in terms of decor, colour scheme and the general ambience but there may be one stand out piece of pretty that makes us go ” Right ok then THAT has to go up on the blog folks” …..

Well this lovelies was one such W-day – the bride Rebecca chose a fashion forward, asyemetric, heavily detailed, show-stopping Ian Stuart masterpiece with a head-piece that had a similar wow-factor.

And you’ve just got to hand it to a bride who pulls out all the stops to look not only completely gorgeous but also so very very stylish.

Rebecca and David were married in May at All Hallows church followed by an evening reception at Mitton Hall, all of the lovely images are courtesy of Alex Davies Photography.

The Caberet

My dress was by Ian Stuart and called “Cabaret”. I bought it from Amy Louise Bridal Gowns, Nantwich, Cheshire. It was nothing like what I thought I wanted but I fell in love with it when I tried it on. I loved how it was so different with the flowers and one shoulder strap. It felt amazing and glam. A dress i was so excited to wear

Peeptoe Perfection

I wore a Headband fascinator made by Viviene Sheriff Millinery, bought from Amy Louise Bridal Gowns. It looked perfect with my dress. My veil had swarovski crystals on it which caught the light and accessorised my dress beautifully without taking away from its detail.

My shoes were Peep toe ivory shoes with diamante straps across toes from Dune. I Loved the sparkle and nice stiletto heel.

Blushing Maids

I bought the bridesmaids dresses from Dessy, a very pale blush pink, with ivory accessories. My Colour scheme for the wedding was ivory accessories (table wear, bows on chairs, my dress and bouquet and bridesmaids accessories) with the pale blush pink brought through in the bridesmaid dresses and bouquets

Smart In Silver

David wore silver grey tails, which made him look very smart and extremely handsome, with an ivory rose button hole to match me.

Capturing The Day

We chose Alex Davies Photography. She takes amazing photos and captures the day perfectly. We loved her portfolio and the relaxed, un-staged images.

Neutral Simplicity

The flowers were done by Buddies florist, Rochdale. I wanted a neutral simple bouquet which they did perfectly with ivory maroussia roses and white peonies. The bridesmaids had sweet avalanche roses. The button holes were a combination of both roses with ivory freesia. The table centre pieces were beautiful candelabras decorated with these flowers and foliage.

A Hint Of Pink

The venue had tall candelabras around therefore I purchased candelabras for the table centre pieces and had them decorated with flowers to tie in with this. We had bunting put up in the conservatory with pictures of David and I over the years. My colours scheme for the venue was mainly ivory with a hint of pink just in the flowers.

A Designer Cake

Our cake was made by specialized cakes, designed by a combination of a picture we had seen plus our own ideas. We wanted to keep with our ivory colour theme with flowers to tie in with my dress. We had two tiers of chocolate sponge and two of Victoria sponge.

An Amazing Day

It was an amazing day, surrounded by people who we love. Enjoy every minute as the day passes so quickly. After many months of planning and worrying how it will all come together it all falls into place and everything is just perfect.

Anyone else thinking of slipping into something show-stopping for W-day?

Why not I say – if you can’t do it on your wedding day when the hell can you?!

With big thanks to Rebecca, David and Alex Davies for sharing the fashion fabulousness.

Big Asymmetric Love

Gorgeous wedding and they are my bridesmaid dresses except my girls are the ‘quarry’ colour!

There are four in the set – all the same skirt but different top styles – and I am in love with each of them, I think my five bridesmaids will be two in this style, two in the strapless and one in the halter but that may change… x
