Baby it’s Cold Outside

An Adult Santa’s Grotto And Woodland Wedding.

Oh my! I have a sneaking suspicion that you are going to fall in love with this afternoon’s wedding – that of Jacqueline and Joe who married on Lusty Beg Island amidst the backdrop of New Year’s revelries.

For a start Jacqueline is BEAUTIFUL with delicious bridal accessories to match – I mean you just can’t help but gawp at her super sparkly Gucci shoes in awe. But that’s not all!

I adore pretty much EVERYTHING in this wonderful ‘I do’ from the illustrated stationery to the super chic bridesmaid dresses from BHLDN all the way through to the epic portrait shots by the Guinness sign and the dapper men in tweed. And you need to check out the ceiling accessories adorning the pair’s wedding reception – now that’s how to drape paper chains in style.

Take it away you gorgeous pair!

A Warm Winter Rustic Wedding With A Touch Of Glamour.

Charlotte and Ben married in the depths of Winter but far from their big day being a chilly affair, it was full of warmth and rustic details with that added touch of sparkle.

Charlotte looks radiant in her Jenny Packham gown and matching headpiece and the groom and his ushers are ever so dapper in their traditional tails – perfect for the sophisticated reception that Charlotte and Ben hosted at Charlotte’s family home complete with roast beef and Yorkshire puddings. Yummy!!

Perhaps the aspects I love most from this beautiful couple’s day are all the wonderful decorative details that Charlotte collected and styled herself. There are logs and pine cones, a cheeky reindeer or two, wooden hearts and illustrated pieces of paper pretty. Plenty of pinning perfection for you lovely lot to enjoy anyway.

Grab a cuppa and sit down to enjoy this rustic big day.

A Rustic Winter Wedding At Cripps Barn

Lisa and Alex had a cosy post Christmas winter wedding at Cripps Barn near Cirencester. Styled by Lauren from Ladyamy event design the day was filled with rustic details incorporating Kraft paper, old coffee sacks and pine cones to create decor with a rustic-luxe feel. I love that Lisa and Alex are both foodies and so named the tables after their favourite restaurants and they treated their guests to big sharing antipasto plates and roast beef.

Sarah and Tom’s winter wonder at Folly Farm in Somerset looked like a absolute treat for all those lucky enough to receive an invitation, top marks!

Everything looks stunning… and the Suzanne Neville gown Sarah chose really is perfect and also perfectly complimented by the Maids in simple twobirds gowns.

Loch Love At Glenfinnan.

This afternoon’s wedding is guaranteed to make your heart catch in your throat. For a start it takes place by the side of a loch – Loch Shiel to be precise – on Glenfinnan Monument beach in Scotland.

Yes folks, this afternoon we’ve gone beachside.

Bob and Helen decided to break with convention and do a first look before their ceremony cue mad scrambles up a hill and over a river or two. An inspired decision in my personal opinion and absolutely most definitely worth it because the shots of the two of them looking over the loch are breathtaking.

And that’s not all – I’ve decided that Helen’s buxom bouquet is possibly one of my favourite wintry bouquets I’ve seen on these pages – the perfect palette of alabaster tones splashed with the briefest touch of purply violet.

And just wait until you see where Helen and Bob hosted their wedding breakfast – a perfect log cabin-esque inn filled with warmth, log fires and a whole heap of dancing.

England Meets India.

I’m feeling more than a little smug this morning because I get to share possibly the best two-day-English-Indian wedding I have EVER seen. That’s right folks, Lyndsey and Kayyor were lucky enough not to have one but TWO big days!

They started their wedding extravaganza with a smaller, intimate traditional English infused civil ceremony at the Olde Bell in Hurley. Filled to the brim with soft pink roses and silver candelabras and a beautiful 1920s drop waist dress, it couldn’t have been more different to their second ‘I Do’ the following day at Hedsor House.

This time, against a back-drop of freshly fallen snow, the two participated in a traditional Hindu ceremony that just oozes colour and energy and excitement. Saris and a Bollywood theme were the order of the day with guests in traditional Indian dress against lavish decor.

Just wait until you see the beautiful flowers on the Mandap. I died and went to heaven. Actually I died over pretty much every single detail of Kayyor and Lyndsey’s two day affair. It looks flipping epic!

It’s All SO Pretty.

Well well well, this is veritable feast of autumnal delights if ever I’ve seen one.

A wedding that is full to bursting with Rock My Wedding Love Lust List members and sponsors was always going to be nothing short of amazing, but this really is something special.

The florals, the fashion, the attention to detail – perfection. And Carolanne’s “ultimate bouff” complete with a crown of heather? so simple, so chic, and so very covetable.

We chose Fetcham Park in Surrey for many reasons. Not only are the house and grounds breathtaking, but I’ve worked there myself as a make up artist countless times. It was the closest thing to a home-from-from we could imagine. I was also acutely aware of the planning service brides receive from the staff at Fetcham which is the most hands on, personal and supportive approach I know of. All the way through the planning, I could not believe how lucky we were to have such involved staff helping us, down to the last detail. I was subsequently, a very relaxed lass.

Mother Of Curl

My hair ‘The Ultimate Bouff’ was tousled up by the Mother of Curl Sharon Roberts. I asked for a messy alien-head bouff. She got in one go. I will never have a better do. Sharon is so great to have around, very relaxed and puts everyone at ease. Sharon also took care of my Mum and sisters who were delighted with their do’s, with no trial. She’s a legend.… View the full post.

Winter Wonder At Babington House

It’s hot, hot, hot peeps… So I thought I’d serve up a wedding for you all that is cool. In more ways than one.

Cool because of that Mira Zwillinger dress, the Lanvin suit, those Jimmy Choos… not to mention the sneak Dolce and Gabanna appearance…

And cool because, well, this is a winter wedding. Michelle and Richard married back in January (the whitest January on record!) at Babington House. They chose their venue because they could take over the whole place, stay the night and have breakfast the next day.

I like their style…

Merringue Or Long & Subtle

Michelle The Bride: My dress was from Browns Bride, and by Mira Zwillinger dress. My veil was by Peter Langner.

I was really nervous about finding a dress, basically because I didn’t know what I wanted, did I want lace, or a huge merringue, or long and subtle, and what if I bought one, and then I got dress envy about others that I saw later. The reason I felt like this is I had just spent months helping my best friend (and maid of honour) look for her wedding dress, and had seen how overwhelming the process was. Anyway, whilst looking for her dress, I stumbled across a dress I adored, and made a mental note to look it up if I ever got engaged! It was different to any other dress I’d seen, but still classic, and I loved the colours. As soon as Richard popped the question, I knew I had to go and try it on immediately.… View the full post.
