Maybe it’s something about Christmas fading into a distant memory, or the hint of the days getting longer and the mornings that bit lighter, but I’m itching for Spring to come.
And who doesn’t love a spring Wedding?
Inspiration comes from the funniest places and I clocked these super cute fondant cakes decorated with cherry blossom and instantly thought of Spring, the blossom, and my Birthday month of April. I actually considered having a cherry blossom themed wedding, but at the end of May, I would have been pushing things a little. Instead, I thought I’d play out my fantasies with this little mood boeard and see if I can inspire you guys to pick up the trend and run with it.

Super pretty, super feminine and a bit of modern chic thrown in.
This theme would look brilliant in a modern gallery type space, light and airy with blush pink tones and a hint of modern grey to bring the look up to date. Have your maids in mix and match pinks, use oriental style parasols for the formal photos, branches of cherry blossom as your center pieces with dangling crystals and fat pink Peonies wired to them, and a oriental inspired dress with a big obi reminiscent bow at the back. Then funk up your look with this cherry blossom ring. I so want it! (Or how lucky would your maids be to receive a gift like this?)
And where did I find this particular piece of inspiration? Cake Chic by Peggy Porschen.
Yours Truly,
Rebecca.

Right ladies… no comments?
Straw Poll:
What is it about the mood boards that you don’t like – are they the wrong styles/colours or just not inspiring??
Or is it just that you have nothing to say about them?
xoxo
Personally I find them useful for suppliers but I just don’t enjoy them as much as the real weddings. I think they’re difficult to do because everyones colours are different. I could never have pinks or purples as my cbm is a red head.
I’d like to see more on mob, diy tutorials, engagement and hen partys and I’m waiting for chic in the city!!
Cool,
Well how does everyone feel about potentially having a week of morning posts of Chic in the City? It’s a long one, like Charlottes… Don’t want to bore everyone to tears!
xoxo
I’m not normally one to post, but have been waiting for Chic in the City – I’m sure people won’t mind about the length – we’ve all been desperate to see it!
The mood board is lovely, but as Rebecca said, they’re just not colours I’m using …. if I’m honest it actually makes me feel like a very boring B2B as I’m having the fairly traditional red, gold and cream with lots of red roses! Also find many of the suppliers are out of my price-range, so although useful for DIY inspiration it can also feel a bit demotivating when I follow the links and see the prices!
I personally would love to see more diy; bridesmaid and mob fashion (loved last weeks post); some affordable and stylish invites, cakes, etc; and would also love to hear from the Blog Father again! Maybe more ideas on how we can be chic and unique without blowing the budget on designer/bespoke items – sorry if that sounds a bit boring!!
Loving your work though ladies

Hi Rebecca,
Mood boards ARE useful-however, unless you’re having that colour theme at your wedding….not a lot to say! (I loooovvveee cherry blossom-my cherry blossom tree is starting to bud as we speak and is too pretty for words!)
I think the idea of daily Chic in the City posts is tremendous (my hubby’s boss’ FAVOURITE word) and will definitely get us girls commenting-I know I’m super excited for your report!
Loving your work,
x
I love mood boards. But this one just wasn’t big enough for me! If you pull together more of the picture of the full wedding, everyone is bound to find something they want to steal. I love boards that instantly give you a feel for what the b&g are like and the fun details of the day!
I’m a lover of the mood board! They’re always inspiring xx
I like them, maybe we could suggest our colour themes?
I’m another one who’s not that bothered about mood boards but would still like to see what you can do with my colours-cream, burgundy and silver x
This is great guys – thanks so much for the feedback.
I know a lot of the time Charlotte and I feel like we are ‘blogging in the dark’ with no idea as to what is really popular or wanted by you guys…
MIA is right – our boards are not big enough and we need to work on some that are bigger to accommodate our ideas!
You know you guys can always email us and ask for boards to inspire you – for example a rustic whites theme or glam navy and black vintage style affair to see what we can come up with – always up for a challenge
Thanks again guys xoxo
i love mood boards – this one is fab, who doesnt love cherry blossom??!??!?
but one suggestion only, is please make them bigger – we want more!
love peggy porschen’s products – and fancy nancy – their stuff rocks too!
I love the mood boards but as some have said if they are not in your particular colours it’s difficult to comment. A black and ivory/white one would be most welcome though!
I would like to see info on hen nights, hairstyles and hair accessory ideas, jewellary and honeymoons as these are the things I have still to sort out. Also I would like to see more tea length wedding dresses (but then I am biased!). Love the site – it’s my fave x
oooo!! also cupcakes :0) x
Please keep doing the mood boards! We’re all here because we admire your own weddings and sense of style. I think it would be great if there was more interaction between readers and bloggers for the mood boards, with us sending in what we aim to create for our weddings and you putting it together in images for us.
As others have said, I think they just need to be bigger, and perhaps focus on the ‘feel’ of the day as well as the colours and style. I love boards that make me wish I had an invitation to the wedding.
Still loving this blog! x
Hi Rebecca
I think the mood boards are a great idea as not all of us want to use the same old boring colours. I know I am totally bored in going to weddings that look exactly like the one I went to the month before. I dont know what it is about us brides in the UK but we really do need to have weddings that reflect us and not what is meant to be the “done thing” we are so behind the US. So dont get down hearted please keep on coming up with mood boreds as some of us would like to have some inspiration that isnt just the same old, same old xxxx
