Clock Tower

Are you familiar with our heroine ‘Sara Crewe’ from ‘A Little Princess’? well if not here’s a brief summary. Her father dies and so does the wealth she is accustomed to leaving her to fend for herself and fight against her new found poverty, but in true fairytale fashion she is rescued and restored to her former ‘riches’.

Rebekah J Murray has captured the essence of this tale beautifully at an amazing clock tower location. Our leading lady wears a delicate blush gown with layers of fabric and natural tendrils for her ‘rags’ look and then an embellished beaded gown with flawless hair & makeup for her return to ‘riches’ look.

In poverty or wealth the staring lady looks stunning and portraits different ways for you to style your hair, wear your make up and generally look fabulous. We think these images are Pin-tastic and we hope we have given you some food for thought for your big day…

Rebekah Murray The Photographer: A bridal inspiration story as inspired by the book ‘A Little Princess’. It was my favorite book growing up and after re-reading it recently I wanted to bring it to life. I was so fortunate to find this clocktower in a nearby city since it felt as grey and bleak as any attic in 1900s London. The main theme we wanted to bring out was the sense of creating beauty in the face of sadness, and these two gowns by Claire La Faye brought that ethereal lightness to the harsh setting. We wanted our ‘Sara Crewe’ to look like she’d lived in this space for ages, and to achieve this the florist dried and hand-dyed flowers to have an old and dusty look, and then filled the clocktower face with them as almost a ‘nest’ of safety that Sara would’ve created for herself. It was an absolute joy working with this team.

The first look was our heroine before she’s rescued, with the tattered-looking gown and bits of twigs and flowers woven in through her hair, and the second look was bold and glamorous with a beaded gown, darker makeup with a beautiful navy smoky eye and incredibly dramatic hair, showing her return to elegance as the princess she always was.
