If you are a bit of a wedding geek (like me) then this is a rare opportunity to see some truly amazing behind the scenes footage. You’ll really get a feeling for the time, effort, planning and co-ordination that goes into staging an event of this magnitude.
Our couple today met at the Four Seasons Park Lane and so it was fitting to return to this prestigious location and utilise it for their wedding reception.
Gleaming white piano on a rotating platform? It can only be Mark Niemerko… And here is the man himself to give a bit of background information on the big day.
A Glint Of Sparkle
The theme was glamour with a glint of sparkle. The Bride loved purple so after covering the ballroom in white voile drape we lit the room a colourful purple. Shades of purple, lilac and pink flowers as the table centres by florist Mary Jane Vaughan included roses, peonies, hydrangeas and orchids. Crystal candelabras added instant sparkle and wow.
A large light box at the end of room with a frame made of fresh florals had a romantic shot of the couple – the shot was taken whilst they were on an engagement shoot in Dubai.
A revolving baby grand piano in the middle of the ballroom insured the guests were entertained throughout dinner. Pianist Danny Mills didn’t get too dizzy!
Guests enjoyed 2 courses and moved into the Oak room at the hotel – which we had turned into a colourful pink and yellow themed dessert room. With several dessert canapés by the hotels pastry chef, teas, coffees and sweet cocktails were mixed. And of course a 3 metre tall upturned ice cream sculpture added a back drop to our female singer Kelli Leigh – who happens to be Adele’s backing singer.
Little did the guests know whilst they were enjoying dessert we were busy turning the ballroom into a cool and contemporary nightclub, within 45 minutes. Purple bar, purple mirrored dance floor with the couples monogram etched in the centre. More cocktails by the hotels mixologists ensured the guests danced into the night!

What about that then? Pretty special I’m sure you agree… And certainly in this case a very good advert for how a wedding planning team can take your celebrations to the next level.

Ok its decided. I’m having a lightbox. Mr. P designs and manufactures them and has been trying to convince me for ages, he should have just showed me this video!! Not with a picture of us though… will have to think on that!
