Whilst the wedding world looks to Bridal Fashion Week to see which gowns beautiful brides will be wearing over the next few years, we were looking at the stunning hairstyles you'll be rocking in a little less time, and trust me, there were some absolute beauties. Today we've teamed up with one of our handpicked wedding suppliers, Victoria of Victoria Ralph Hair, who's going to give us the lowdown on our five favourite gorgeous dos. Victoria is one of the best at creating fresh and modern hairstyles for the fashion-conscious bride, so naturally she was our go-to for all things barnet!

Voluminous Crowns at Hayley Paige

"Ask your stylist for a half up half down look with a soft wave which is loose and fluffy in texture, and a knotted/braided section through the top to give volume and glamour."

We love this day old, glamorous look. Enough volume to be flattering, glamorous loose waves and a modern update to the half up half down look. On the day your stylist is likely to blow dry a volumising product such as Bumble and Bumble Thickening Hairspray, into the roots, and use a large, round brush to create a soft wavy blowout. If your hair has a tendency to drop, then the wave should be pinned to help the curls to hold. Braids through the top section will be pulled out and slightly dishevelled, and the whole look will be finished with a texturising spray. Embrace flyaways - they are part of the charm.

Deep Side Partings at Justin Alexander and Naeem Khan

"Take these pictures with you, and ask for a super smooth blow-dry, deep side parting and volume at the roots"

Let the dress or accessories do the talking with this deep side parting ‘do’. To achieve this look your stylist will create a deep side parting and blow dry hair using a smoothing hair cream, such as Kérastase's Styling Crème de la Crème Blow Dry Cream, that works to control excess volume and unruly frizz. They will create volume at roots using a large round hair brush and set with rollers. For a top tip, back comb lightly through the parting to stop the style feeling flat.

Chic Low Buns at Monique Lhuillier and Dennis Basso for Kleinfeld

"Ask your stylist for a super sleek finish, with the chignon secured at the nape."

A center parted, low Chignon is an effortlessly cool but classic look. Serum blow-dried through the hair will create the super sleek look you are after, whilst combing into place and finishing with L’orel Elnet will smooth down and add shine. Your stylist will use their hands to create texture and secure loosely, whilst whips of hair around ears and neckline add softness around the face. A perfect look to pair with statement earrings.

Perfectly Tousled at Berta

"Don't be afraid to ask your stylist for a dishevelled wave and a sweeping shape."

The perfect pairing for gorgeous hair accessories, we're predicting tousles one will be a firm favourite. This super sexy style is all about creating the perfect type of wave. Your stylist will blow dry a lifting mousse into the roots and mid-lengths, and then tong in vertical sections, all finished with a texturising spray. This look is not about volume, so blow-drying the hair forward and flat over the forehead will create the gorgeous sweeping shape at the front. Blow-dry a mousse such as Loreal Tecni Art Volume Lift into roots and mid-lengths. For an edgier look, your stylist will leave the ends of the hair out of the tong.

Ribbons at Marchesa

"Ask your stylist to make the most of your natural texture and let the ribbons do the talking."

Adorn pretty half up half down dos, or effortlessly chic wavy ponytails with gorgeous extra long ribbons for all the romance. The beauty of these styles is the movement and natural feel that the extra-long ribbons will echo perfectly. Go for a textured ribbon, such as velvet, to ensure the bow stays in place long into the evening. Your stylist will use lots of thickening spray in the drying stage to stop the hair feeling too clean and fluffy, whilst tonging the hair in different directions will stop any uniformity.   If you're looking for a hair stylist to help recreate your vision for your wedding day hair then look no further than The List.
