Over the weekend we shared lots of gorgeous wedding dress inspiration - the new collection from Halfpenny London and the chance to WIN YOUR WEDDING DRESS from our new Look Book members, Rolling in Roses. It seems you lovely lot can't get enough of swooning over bridal wear, so this morning we've put together an edit of four trends we're loving for 2017. So sit back, relax and be prepared to find the one...

Bridal Trend {Ravishing Ruffles}

Ruffles were all over the catwalks at last years fashion shows, quite possibly because 70s styling is back in a big way. I'm interpreting ruffles broadly here (as with all of these trends) so we're talking blousy bell sleeves*, gathered material, even little details running along the straps of your dress. For a subtle, elegant approach to ruffles, the latest Alejandra Svarc collection is simply gorgeous. The soft yet structured fall of the fabric is so petal-esque and this gown has me weak at the knees. *Sleeves are the new back detail when it comes to wedding dresses - you heard it here first. Always fashion forward, the boho, free spirited hippy vibe to this gown is right up our street. Just add big hair and delicate accessories. Essentially it would be like wearing a pair of tiny fairy wings on your wedding day and who wouldn't want that?! Bridal Trends for 2017 | Ruffles | Wedding Dress by Bouret

Bridal Trend {Subtle Sequins}

Heavy sequins and embellishments have been big in bridal wear for a while, but for 2017 we're all about a little sprinkling here and there, rather than full on-chain metal. You want your wedding dress to be wearable after all. Wearing anything that catches the light always looks gorgeous in photographs, so why not make it your dress? Another gown from the new Alejandra Svarc collection, I LOVE the sequin detailing to this gorgeously cut gown. It's a relaxed and casual fit, but the embellishments add a touch of something special. This Francesca Miranda gown looks like a million tiny snowflakes stitched together. I absolutely adore the wide sleeves too (told you sleeves were a thing this year)... Bridal Trends for 2017 | Subtle Sequin Detailing | Wedding Dress by Francesca Miranda For some home-grown talent Harriet Holling, a new bridal designer whose own wedding we featured last year, is the master of delicate oyster sequins. Just look at that puddle train - utterly beautiful, I love the texture these tiny embellishments create. The celestial trend is still going strong for 2017 with stars pretty much everywhere, so it was only a matter of time before it entered the bridal world. The whole 2016 Lookbook from my favourite Dutch bridal store, Wild At Heart, was simply beautiful and this is just one of the images that stole my heart. Bridal Trend {Two Pieces}

Definitely not a new trend, but one we (and you) can't get enough of! Whenever we share images of a bride in a two piece everyone goes wild. It's not a look for everyone (I wouldn't feel comfortable flashing my midriff on my wedding day) but if you've got it, why the hell not flaunt it?! Many of these styles have tops that are longer at the front for modesty and are open at the back, which adds a gorgeously sexy element to your gown. This gown is another stunner from the Alejandra Svarc collection. Loving the large laser cut floral effect of the lace too. This collection, with its 70s crochet fabrics takes bridal separates forward for 2017. You've got the dress, now you just need a Spanish beach to frolic on... Bridal Trend {The Sexy Slip}

This look is about effortless beauty, embracing the female form with slinky silks and satins and barely-there straps. Channelling 90s Calvin Klein, party wear has had this trend covered for a while, bridal wear is taking its turn in 2017. Perfect if you're having a destination wedding or a high summer wedding here in the UK. Don't dismiss this look until you've tried it either - there are a plethora of shapewear options out there to give you a bit of confidence, and it's truly comfortable and easy to wear.
