Morning all! Wow, have we got a spectacular wedding for you coming right up. One of the prettiest I’ve seen in a long time with loads of stand out touches I was super pleased to receive this submission from Jo at Shoot Lifestyle Photography – one of my all time favourite photographers to be featured on this here blog.
Laine and Danny were married at Heathy Lea, (part of the Chatsworth Estate,) in June and Jo has captured all the details so beautifully that I’ve decided this wedding is going to be a three parter.
It’s just that good. So you can expect part 2 later and part 3 tomorrow.
Flamenco Flounces
My dress was by Ian Stuart, which I bought from Blissful Daze in Sheffield. It was nothing like what I thought I would pick but as soon as I put it on I fell in love.
I loved the way the dress came up at the front just enough so you could see my lovely shoes! My dress was called Paso Doble, the sleek lines and soft flounces gave it a very Spanish feel with a hint of English prettiness.
Because my dress was quite detailed with lots of ruffles I decided against a veil and chose to wear a fresh flower (to match the grooms button hole) in my hair. Myself and the 3 older bridesmaids all wore a small pearl bracelet.
Louboutin Love
My shoes!! Nude Christian Louboutins!! I forever wanted a pair so for my wedding day I thought why not!?
They were from Harvey Nichols in Leeds, bought for me by my lovely then boyfriend for a Birthday gift. I dressed them up for my wedding day with jewelled shoe clips which I found on ebay!
Hair Heaven and Make Up Magic
My hair looking right on the day was one of my biggest fears! I have long, quite thick hair and always wear it down but knew with all the ruffles on my dress it would just bury me. So my poor hairdresser and bridesmaids had the hard job on the wedding morning of convincing me I had to wear it up!! Looking back on the pictures I am really glad I did! I decided to have all my hair taken into a tousled bun to the side and my hairdresser pinned a pink rose into the bun. It stayed neat and tidy all day.
I had been for a make up trial at MAC but in the end decided to do my own make up. I bought myself lots of nice new make up and did a few practice trials before the big day.
Graceful in Grey
The groomsmen wore a light grey three piece suite. They all picked their own ties and had big vintage roses for their buttonholes.
Danny wanted to stand out a bit from his groomsmen so decided to wear a two piece charcoal grey suit, with a sliver vintage tie with a black stripe down the middle. Danny is a farmer and is rarely seen in a suit so he looked extra special and smart on our wedding day!
And what do I l-o-v-e about this wedding? – apart from practically every single detail that is! The Outdoor ceremony…
Thats all for now folks, come back later today to see the fabulous florals and the beautiful, fashion forward bridesmaids. Don’t say we’re not good to you!
Yours Truly,
Rebecca
