Planning

Today's feature is a breath of fresh air for those of you whose idea of hen-do hell is strippers, willy straws and cheap bottles of fizz. The brand new hen party package from Bo Chic & Vintage Party Arrangements couldn't be more different. Imagine gathering your besties for an afternoon in the sunshine, surrounded by pretty flowers (like these stunners from Herbert & Isles) and balloons while crafting, chatting and relaxing before your big day. Sounds (and looks) like bliss doesn't it? It couldn't be more easy either, as Ela and Dani have everything covered - you provide the green space and they will do the rest. Drinks, food and activities can all be customised to make the day completely personal to you and your hens. If you like what you see, make sure you send your Bridesmaids the link to this feature, marked with a bold 'HINT HINT' in the subject line...

A New Kind Of Hen Do

Ela & Dani: We have collaborated and styled an alternative, more sophisticated experience for hen parties. Steering away from the typical hen do (no willy straws, satin pink sashes or L plates involved!), we have created a more stylish concept where brides can enjoy a 3-hour experience with their hens in true bohemian style. Think naked teepee photo booth, wildflowers, hand-crafted pallet table, layers on layers of pretty rugs, bubbles and nibbles, boho favours and a 1-hour makers workshop included. We design, plan and set up the entire hen party, leaving brides and their hens to simply turn up and enjoy their celebration in style. Think of it more like a bridal shower suitable for all ages.

The Shoot

We planned and styled this shoot to launch our new Boho Hen Do product and hosted it in a garden so that the surroundings are realistic in terms of where brides may have their own hen parties. The overall atmosphere was lots of fun, relaxed and sociable, with the bride at the centre of all the happenings. Within our Boho Hen Do, we can provide fun activities and photo opportunities, like scarf tunnels, giant balloons (launching Bubblegum Balloons’ new hen do range), confetti throwing (Shropshire Petals) and more and much of this is demonstrated in the shoot as well. We have also displayed the different types of workshops available, from bohemian hair tutorials (‘The Braid Bar’) to edible flower cupcake decorating and more. We’re sure when you browse through the photos you will get a keen sense of the overall feel of the Boho Hen Do. The styling of the shoot was inspired by colourful wildflowers, provided by Herbert & Isles. In terms of the décor itself, we have included everything a bride would get within the Boho Hen Do package (detailed below). The overall style is, of course, bohemian chic, with a range of textures from rustic wood, brass candlesticks and chiffon fabric to ceramic plates, knotted macramé and glass lanterns. We included lots of different materials for an interesting, more eclectic look that’s in keeping with bohemian styling.

The Boho Hen Do Package

Our package is completely flexible in terms of choices of food, favour options and workshop options. The following is included: - Full planning, set up and styling of the hen do (macramé backdrop, teepee photo booth and props, palette table and tabletop décor, cushions, rugs, naked tipi, all fresh flowers, grazing station, drinks station, crockery, cutlery and glassware) - Grazing station food and decor - Bubbly and soft drinks - Bohemian style favours to take home and pretty packaging/name tags - 1-hour makers workshop

Makers Workshops

We offer inclusive workshops hosted by myself and Dani and workshops with additional fees, hosted by external suppliers. We have collaborated with a number of different suppliers, from florists, MUAs, hairstylists (featuring ‘The Braid Bar’), cake makers and more, to be able to provide these exclusive workshops to brides who book the Boho Hen Do.
