The vast majority of weddings we post are submissions, either from photographers, W-day suppliers or you gorgeous brides. Sometimes though we “come across” little nuggets of Big Day fabulousness via our blogging journeys around the world wide web and the super pretty affair of Becky and Mat was one such nugget….
The lovely Rosie from Rosie Willet Designs had sent us an email as she had spotted one of her brides in a recent feature. Queue me having a good old nosey at her website and stumbling across the stunning Rebecca – I was like “Um, hello? who is the beauty in the amazing dress?!”
Rosie let me know, I got in touch with Becky and the rest they say……is history.
RMW history that is of course

Floaty Simplicity
My dress was from Honeycole in Abbotts Bromley. It is Isola by Augusta Jones. I always knew I wanted a simple dress as the big meringue/toilet roll cover look was never for me. I tried on loads of dresses and actually Isola was one of the first, but I had to try on other styles I think to be sure it was ‘the one.’ Being tall and broad shoulders it became clear that strapless dresses were not my friend and really it was Isola all the way.
Strangely I first saw the dress on a bride at another wedding! My husband and I work in a function band at the weekends and so seeing 40 plus weddings a year gave me lots of ideas, too many at times!
When I found the same dress at Honeycole I was over the moon and it was meant to be. I love the flower at the back and the fabric just gives the dress an amazing floaty feel, I love it!

Walking Tall
My shoes were bought on line at the Accessory Boutique, Moonstone by Belle by Paradox. I’m 5ft 11” and so is my husband so I really wanted kitten heels but didn’t like the design of the flatter shoes, so I went for the 3 inch heels and my husband bought retro, Italian leather, Cuban heels from Liverpool, so in the end we were similar heights, (but both had very sore feet!!)

* This was the pic I saw that made me know instantly we would love Becky’s wedding- perfection.
Every Thing’s Rosy
I always wanted a veil but with the dress being entirely Tulle it didn’t really go. I went for a head dress by Rosie Willet. She made it bespoke and it was perfect.
My earrings were gold, pearl and diamond on loan from one of my Mums friends who has an amazing jewellery collection and they were also my ‘Something Borrowed!’
Fancy Fascinator’s
I had the same Hair Dresser as my sister had for her wedding. Stacey (she doesn’t have a website sadly) She was amazing! Very cool, very calm and really understood what I wanted.
The bridesmaids had their hair the way they each wanted and they all looked great. The bridesmaid fascinators were designed and made by a friend from school, Sophie who has started her own Millinery company, she did an amazing job!
We all did our own make up and I had a trial in a department store and purchased a lot of Benefit products which we all just loved.
Pink And Green
My gorgeous bridesmaids Eley, Vibeke and Katie wore green dresses from Monsoon, I also bought their jewellery from there and they got their own shoes. Eley was pregnant at the time so needed lower heels. They all looked amazing and I hope, felt amazing.
The dresses were a similar neckline to my dress and the beading matched the shoes. The jewellery had hints of pink and green which tied in the flowers and all in all the ladies looked ravishing!!
High Street Chic
My husband is not a man that can be told what to do so I left the suits entirely down to him. The colour scheme changed along the way so it mattered not what they picked. Although my only stipulation was no navy blue due to the bridesmaids being in green we felt the wedding party may look like a bruise!
So off they went to Birmingham, Mat his best man Jason, ushers Wes and Minz and my Dad and Mat’s stepdad. Surprisingly they found a suit that made them all look great. They are all different shapes and sizes and they all looked fab in the one style. They bought grey three piece suits by Ted Baker. My husband particularly looked handsome but I am a little biased!!

Calm, Chilled, Happy….
Mat looked lush! He always looks handsome and often wears suits so no surprises there, however I was delighted to see him looking so calm at the end of the aisle, it chilled me out! He looked so happy it was a wonderful moment.
I am in love with tulle.
I am in love with flouncy bouncy hair styles and big statement head pieces……
*sigh*
And you haven’t even seen the fresh florals and delicious reception details yet…..
Oh but you will lovelies! Oh yes you will! All coming up in part 2

lovely wedding. Many congratulations to them.
Wow…that black and white shot at the top of the bride from behind…just wow! xx
Such a pretty bride, lovely dress!! Looks like such a wondeful day. Congrats xx
Gorgeous bride and a simply stunning dress. Just beautiful.
What an amazing and gorgeous head piece. It goes so well with the dress. What a glowing beautiful bride.
What a stunning dress, and a beautiful bride. Looking forward to seeing the rest!
Fliss xx
I heart Augusta Jones. Her dresses are so reasonably priced but look SO much more expensive! AND that train is ammmmaaazing!
I love her hair too. I have similar natural curls and its nice to see a bride with a loose style (which I can right click and save as to show my hairdresser).
Looking forward to part two.
The brides hair and make up are so fresh and bright. A really lovely mix of pinks. Just gorgeous.
eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek! This is my dress!
I cannot wait to wear it, this bride looks so beautiful!
Sorry for squealing but I haven’t seen this dress on any other brides, great pics! xxx
Wow, the bride is just so gorgeous. Love this wedding.
Hi ladies
So glad you like it, I do love a happy smiley bride. LOVING the head piece, in fact we may have a little headpiece speciality coming up soon!

I would LOVE to wear my hair like this. Unfortunately I would end up looking like a cocker spaniel. I tried on loads of AJ’s…(fell in lust with Tia especially) they are super flattering and reasonable.
Also loving the stockings! And the picture of the bridal party and the groom’s party on the stone steps…what sheer fun the day looks!
To the bride…you are an absolute beauty!
What a stunning bride! Such a beautiful dress.
My dress isn’t too dissimilar to this and you have convinced me to be bold and go for a wow-factor head piece.
Absolutely gorgeous. Can’t wait for Part 2.
Super cute bride and a gorgeous dress! x
She looks amazing, such a happy looking bride!
I dont often have the courage to post on blogs but I just had to say that Becky is one of the prettiest brides I have ever seen….she looks so natural, happy and glowing!!! I can only hope to look half as nice as her on my big day next year!!
Im off to stalk her dress down now on the net
Cant wait to see 2mo’s 2nd post!!! xxx
Oh pants. I am having serious dress wobbles after seeing this. I saw Isola in a magazine and thought ‘I have to try it on’, but then went ahead and ordered something else. Which is lovely… but now I am in a quandry…
It looks so wonderful on her – what a beautiful bride.
Ax
Super pretty bride, elegant dress and fabulous head piece.
Altogether very lovely
xoxo
I love the dress, she really looks absolutely fabulous!! Now that puts me into a bit of a pickle, I thought I knew what I wanted and feel like having been thrown back to square two..:)
I am really enjoying this, it’s all part of the big day already which for me is still almost a year away!! x
Beautiful wedding! My bridesmaids have the same dresses! Can I please ask where the men’s ties came from? I am looking for the right shade of green!
Hi Emma,
Ties were tricky to find. They are not the same green but looked great with the dresses, some shades were entirely wrong. Took ages but eventually found in a tie shop at Cheshire oaks. They only had a few so had to buy half there and half in Liverpool. But they had loads of different shades so hopefully will still have similar stock.
Pretty sure it was called ‘Suits you’
What a pretty bride! And I luurrve that dress and headpiece. Makes you wonder why anyone would have a tiara (hmm..I am…hmmm). Am so in love with tulle. So gorgeous. Am not usually a a fan of green either but those bm dresses look fabulous too. Great looks all round!
oh mama, that is one sexy bride! (is it weird to post that?)
also, i love the best men’s crazy nicknames – hilarious!
r.now x x x
Love, love the dress and love Becky’s hair!! Am definitely going to get my hairdresser to try out something like this with mine!!
This is my gorgeous, lovely friend Becky and although I was at the wedding, this is the first time I’ve seen any pics. Totally wowed by them! Everything is perfect from the dress to the hair and the photography. Such a magical day! Love you Mrs D!! xxx
I said yes to this dress! Rosy, you looked simply breathtaking! So beautiful! I am wondering how you bustled the train for the reception. Would you be able to tell me?
