Inspiration

Fields full of lavender can't help but invoke romance - the colour and the smell is just so heady and distinct. And what could be more perfect for a lavender fields than a purple and lilac toned inspiration shoot? This one is achingly pretty. The details are simple but beautiful and there's even a blush pink dress too! Our recommended List member Pamela Dunn has captured the balance of wild and whimsical with luxe styling details perfectly - turning her hand to the flowers as well as the styling. Images come from Jane Beadnell and this incredible location is actually in the Cotswolds, not Provence, although you'd never know!

The Location

Jane the Photographer: Can you image our delight at the opportunity to get creative in a blooming field of lavender in the summer sunshine? As experienced wedding professionals, and experts in our own field with dreamy romantic notations to continue inspiring brides and grooms with beautiful imagery this was going to be a fabulous shoot which we would all adore. The location set in the heart of the Cotswold Hills overlooking the Vale Of Evesham is English country heaven just waiting to be rediscovered. Fragranced lavender slopes are breathtaking and all the more special for they bloom for just three or four weeks of the year. Harvested and distilled mid July the timing was crucial for our French chic theme. Soft chalky accents of colour complimented the peaceful calm of the perfumed fields and beautiful vistas.

The Details

A sweetheart table set for two was designed and draped with exquisite luxury hand dyed silk. A trio of wedding cakes took centre stage as the bride danced amongst the avenues of scented flowers, wearing the most gorgeous blush dress by designer Remondo by Modeca. The full and feminine tulle gown with its beautiful fluffy layered skirt billowed gracefully creating the perfect silhouette. The deep purple hand dyed silk ribbons tied loosely around the bridal bouquet of peonies and astilbe complimented the colour palette; perfectly in tune with the romantic setting. Soft curls and glamorous gold eyes captured the essence of the chic styling, alongside the lace band wedding stationery designed with powdery pastel shades, lilac ribbons and delicate fonts. The soft lilac ombre and bonbon wedding cakes were decorated with the luxe silk ribbons whilst exclusive gold hair accessories with pretty beads and pearls shimmered in the late afternoon sunshine as the bespoke veil caught the slight breeze.
