Inspiration

This traditional wedding looks like a fairytale dream come true. Set amongst the most picturesque English country manor house and complete with horse and carriage. All fairytales need a princess bride, and Leonie fits the bill perfectly in a truly gorgeous Renee L. Collections gown. The lace slash bardot neckline is exquisite and shows off her fabulous necklace beautifully. Although this is a quintessently English country wedding, lots of gorgeous Chinese influences can be seen too, including the bright blooms and gorgeous wedding stationery by oh so talented Paperknots. Jessie Thomson along with her sister Westwood Design flowers have done an amazing job at planning and styling this beautiful day, and have now joined forces to give you the ultimate full planning service Studio Sorores. The evening culminates in a sparkler exit before the gorgeous bride and groom jett off to their honeymoon in Santorini, but not before they delve into the sweetest "midnight snack" boxes. Mmm delic.

Wedding

Jessie Thomson Wedding Planner: I was asked to help plan and design this wedding even before the Groom had proposed - the sweetest gift ready for his Bride, before getting down on one knee in paris. So romantic!

Location

This was an elegant country manor wedding with sweet modern and rustic details in a rich, old and glamorous setting. The intimate Church of England ceremony was held in the prettiest village church near where the Groom's family live, before guests walked across to the newly refurbished Slaughters Manor House for a garden reception and formal dinner. Complete with white horse & carriage this quintessentially English wedding also incorporated Chinese influences with "gate crashing games" and an injection of bright and beautiful red in the colour scheme.

Flowers

The florals were organic and full of large beautiful blooms, we kept the depth of colours from the ceremony location running through the decor and each reception space - but also gave a more feminine and light touch to the wedding breakfast tablescapes - pulling in colours from the interior design of the building and ensuring a coherent look throughout. We also picked up on the dark wood in the church and pulled this through into the reception space with wooden signage and sweet quotes chosen by the bride & groom.

Stationery

I commissioned bespoke linen with a subtle polka dot print to add a little fun and personality to the wedding tables – it was the perfect way to keep each tablescape a little more relaxed alongside the brighter florals and sweet illustrated stationery by Paperknots.

Midnight Snack

In the evening there was a break for dancing where guests were given "midnight snack" boxes as a thank you from the happy couple – these were filled with treats like local fudge, handmade macarons, a local cheese selection and pork pies. Each box had a thank you note from the happy couple, whom later departed under an arch of sparklers before jetting off to their honeymoon in Santorini the next day.
