Love is……Saying I do….part 2

September 10th, 2010 by Charlotte@rockmywedding Leave a reply »

I really don’t need to say much about part 2, the beautiful images speak for themselves.

What I will say though is that there are some really gorgeous alternative “group” shots in here, a perfect example of how to capture everyone that’s important to you both but still celebrate the laughter and joy rather than standing in a line looking decidedly serious and glum.

Congratulations to Susannah and Ed for holding such a relaxed, personal day and celebrating it with Rock My Wedding.

Special Moments

My favourite part of the day was definitely saying my vows in front of my family and friends, it’s such a beautiful thing and meant so much to us both and to have everyone I love in one place was incredible. We were both so nervous, but when we were finally together at the front of the Great Hall we had so much fun with a massive mixture of emotions, tears, smiles and laughs.

I loved marrying Ed!!!

Endless Summer

Our wedding was at the beautiful Butley Priory on the 22nd July 2010, the sun shone all day, it was absolutely perfect.

D.I.Y Blooms

My flowers were put together by my very talented friend Caroline. I loved them and they really looked amazing, the thrown together style really went well with the relaxed open feel of the venue.

Snap Happy

We chose our photographers because Butley so highly recommend them. Ed didn’t want photographers because he was worried that it would be to invasive and have to spend hours having his pictures taken.

We had looked at loads of websites and didn’t like any of them we didnt want a stuffy photographer that didnt fit our vibe. Then we met Kate and Craig from Craig Williams Photography and they really got us and understood what we wanted.

They didnt make us stand around for hours having our picture taken and they were exactly how they said they would be on the day.

Home Baking

My mum actually made the cakes, she is a great cook and we have always loved her cakes so it was the perfect choice.

Evening Entertainment

In the evening we had a Kaley Band, I have always loved folk type music and they totally rocked – they were called Sizewell Gap. Our first dance song was by the Beatles and it was ” Here there and Everywhere”.

Advice From The Bride

Any advice would be that you must plan the little things so on the day nothing goes wrong and you can be relaxed. Have loads of people around you on the day that can help you do the little things and only
spend money on the things you really care about. All we wanted form the day was for everyone to have fun and we certainly achieved that!!!

Love is………the way Susannah looked at Ed as she saw him at the aisle.

Love is…….having your friends and family use their talents to contribute to your Big Day.

Love is…….laughter, passion, joy, devotion and pure unadulterated happiness.

Love is……..capturing it all on camera.

With huge thanks to Kate and Craig for submitting this delicious W-day to RMW.

Big Fat Smiling Love

Beautiful. I do love a Ceileigh.

I can’t get over how fabulous that dress looks. I discounted the family Edwardian dress because it’s high neck and my boobs are massive. It’s given me cause for thought, it’s so sentimental.

    flowers are lush

What a beautiful wedding – you can feel the love emanating from the photos! Especially love the look on the brides face as she looks at her groom at the end of the aisle. Such a good looking couple too! Congratulations :)

This actually made me well up just because of the pure unadulterated joy in every picture. I love everything about this wedding, it’s just so genuine. Nothing looks forced or contrived. Beautiful!

Awwwww…. How utterly gorgeous are you two?! One of the sweetest, most sincere weddings I’ve ever ever seen, and a set of pictures to treasure.

And considering he didn’t want a photographer, Ed sure does love the camera!

    Congratulations Susannah and Ed!

At the end of a crappy week this was exactly what I needed – a total ray of sunshine. Am also welling up a little, the happiness and sincerity of it really shines through – love how the bride’s mum is BEAMING in the background during the ceremony too. Awww :-)

Said it all in part one…!!! I am loving these photos and absolutely cannot WAIT for Kate and Craig to take mine :O))))

I love the dress so much. And Ed’s suit is so dapper – as is he actually – that picture of him faking doing a runner combined with the one where he’s having a little weep are so beautiful together.
When I asked my mum to see her dress she announced that she wasn’t sure she knew where it was, it would probably be too big and all fusty…I am going to make her try harder now! And what’s lovely is that Hannah managed to update it because that’s certainly something that’s a little off putting about 70s dresses.

  12. Jessie says:

Eek – sorry – Susannah – Hannah was the previous wedding!!

Oh I think this is one of my favourite weddings ever featured on RMW (I know I know, I’ve said that before, but this one really is).

Just looking at these pictures makes me feel all warm and squishy inside, and truly makes me feel ridiculously excited that 2 months tomorrow I will be marrying my man, and having that beautiful grin on my face and natural “i’m the luckiest girl in the world’ glowiness all day…

    xx

  16. Hi Lovelies!

So glad you like it :)

Laura you are so right – I always check out EVERYONE in a photo and I love how in the ceremony shots you catch a snippet of all the guests and how much MOB is smiling.

    Happy Friday everyone!

May sound a bit of an odd thing to say- but she looks like a princess. Not a fairy princess but like one you can imagine being rescued by her prince and being whisked off into the sunset on horseback!!

    Beautiful wedding :-)

i love this photography. They have managed to capture all the moments that show the pure happiness and love. These are photos that will take the bride and groom back to this day for years to come.

This is such a beautiful wedding! The photo where the bride has the mic is my favourite, as is the first one where they just look so happy! I hope my wedding day is filled with as much love and happiness as this one clearly was x

  22. I love how happy you look in ALL of these photos :) Brilliant photography x

  23. Miriam says:

I am a good friend of Susannah and Ed’s and was at the wedding (and coincidently was in the same class at school as RMW Charlotte as well!) The day was indeed everything that the pictures say… picturesque, beautiful and full of love and emotion. I don’t see them as much as I would like as I now live in London but seeing these photos allow me to relive what was a very special day. I will be seeing them in person on the 15th Oct and can’t wait!
