Inspiration

Ahh just look at Bride Maria & Groom Marco's faces, have you ever seen a happier couple, they are just off the chart adorable. But is it any wonder when all their family and friends travelled near and far to see them say I do at the absolutely breathtaking Il Castello di Sovizzo in Vicenza, Italy. The outdoor ceremony under the colonnade looks intimate, and cosy and features some of my absolute favourite moments of the couple by Intimate Love Memories Photography. Plus how beautiful is the wild flower aisle and altar decor. Equally stunning is Maria in her intricate lace gown from David's Bridal, and all those picturesque views. If you want to make your heart swell this afternoon, this is the wedding for you.

Their Story

Intimate Love Memories Photography: The love story between Marco and Maria is incredible: he's italian-american, she's american, they met in US. After starting a relationship they had lost themselves, troubles after troubles, but they met again in Paris where they both were studying and over there the love has spread again. They are now living in Italy in the wonderful and historical city of Vicenza.

The Wedding

The wedding was simple, but unique and really touching. Since they have been living in Italy in the last years they didn't have the chances to meet their parents and their many friends disseminated all over the world but for the wedding day they were all present. That day they dressed up in the same building but at different floors: at the first floor they placed the hairstylist, the second was entirely dedicated for adorning the bride while the third one was arranged for the preparation of the groom!!! From the window of his room it's possible to see, even if it's very far, the tip of the basilica palladiana, the historical church which has became the symbol of the city of Vicenza. The bride, during her entire preparation was assisted by her best friend, by her aunts and, of course, by her mother while the husband was spending his last moments with his brother, some close friends of him and his father.

Outfits

Maria chose her wedding dress during her last trip to US, it's long, breathtaking, enriched with a classy lace back and wonderful small pearls. Marco chose a suit from Burberry and italian shoes by Fratelli Rossetti.

Venue

The ceremony and the after party were prepared in the same location in order to facilitate all the transfer of the foreign participants. The restaurant “al castello” in sovizzo is a perfect compromise for very good food and a classy, informal and cozy location. At the first sight, the most surprising thing is the elegance of the inner spaces and furthermore an amazing external and open terrace that allows the guests to see a breathtaking panorama of the hills.

Ceremony

The civil ceremony occurred under the colonnade and it (was officiated by) the best friend of the newlyweds. The ceremony was essential but unique, simple but exciting. During the ceremony and the wedding celebrations the atmosphere was incredible and filled with passion, gratitude and deep feeling in particular when some close friends of the bride and the grom made some very touchy speeches.

Decor, Entertainment, Food

For the nosegay as well as for the decoration of the restaurant beautiful wildflowers were chosen by the couple. The aperitif, immediately after the ceremony, was prepared in the backyard to permit to all the friends and the family to celebrate the newlywed, whereas the wedding dinner was offered in the main room of the rural building. The wedding cake was a millefoglie, which is a very tipical and delicious italian cake made by different layer of pasta sfoglia alternated with crema pasticerra and, furthermore, the top of the cake could be sprinkled with powdered sugar. For the occasion we set up a photo booth to let the guest have fun during the whole party! After the dinner Marco and Maria had led the reel (dance / party) and later they also started a dance competition with a playlist created by them for the occasion!
