Net-A-Porter Bridal Boutique…

February 16th, 2010 by Rebecca@rockmywedding Leave a reply »

Today is the day.

We had a pretty exciting time here at RMW last week when we made a little trip down to London for the Net-A-Porter relaunch of their Bridal Boutique. And whilst we had a sneaky peek behind the scenes at the to-die-for gowns and perfect pieces of pretty (and we are pleased to report also quite a lot sassy) accessories, today you get to go and have a browse yourself!

And not wanting you guys to miss out, we decided to keep you guys in the loop by making a little video for your viewing pleasure of what we got up to at Claridges…

Enjoy ladies and read on below for the fashion rundown of our RMW favourites :)

So which were our favourite beauties featured above? In order of appearance…

First models, on the right: Lanvin Grey dress with Alexander McQueen shoes (note the heart shaped peep-toe, super cute and testament to the great mans talent.)

Second models, depicting a City Hall wedding, on the right suit by Donna Karen and shoes by Christian Louboutin. On the left, mini dress by Carven.

Also loving the abundance of chic and short little white numbers, perfect for rehearsal dinners or day after brunches, or for the very lucky bride as a second dancing dress :) . I’m imagining this super sexy Herve Leger number in Ibiza at an uber cool, club style party people wedding.

And our favourite accessories? I should say Accessory, as Charlotte and I both fell hard for this knock out necklace by hot New York sisters label DaniJo. Fierce and not for the fainthearted, yet surprisingly pretty and perfect for magpies, this is one piece of neck candy desperate for a wedding to call it’s own…

DaniJo

Admittedly, Net-A-Porter is not a bargain hunting ground, but as the main store does, the idea is to span a range of price brackets for the bridal wear and the new Bridal Boutique is aimed at the high flying, cash-rich but time-poor professional lady. One great idea the lovely people at Net-A-Porter had was to purchase several gowns to try at home then get your girls over and spend the evening choosing your accessories. It’s also a one stop shop with accessories, shoes and options for your maids, Mother of the Bride and guests, all of which come in the new white boxes with black ribbon. Monochrome cool and we love it.

Hope you enjoyed the film! More to come next week with our DWS round up film :)

Yours Truly,

Rebecca
xoxo

PS The gorgeous cupcakes were by Hummingbird bakery. Mmmmmmmm!

    Hi ladies

So glad you are loving the show – we wanted to share it with everyone!

Bless you Laura – thanks for the compliment pet!

I wore black Paige slim/bootcut jeans, the model name is “Hidden Hills” and buckle ankle boots from Nine West with a 4inch heel and concealed platform.

My T-shirt Rebecca actually found for me bless her! it was a skull/crossbones bride and groom ( I know – the irony) from All Saints – here is the link:

It is called “Amour Eternal” and was designed by the New York artist Laurie Lipton – a really flattering longer legnth. If you fancy one I would advice getting a size smaller than you would normally wear as they do come up big.

My blazer/jacket was from Vera Moda and my earrings were big black and white feathers from VV Rouleaux – they are my favourites and I got them when I went on my day at Cosmo Bride magazine – a lovely momento!
