Pretty Plum Please…

This afternoon we have some positively drool-worthy images to share and even better, you can get what is in them for yourself!

I know after my wedding report there were so many questions about my choice of ‘getting ready’ wear – some Monsoon Pyjamas in floral print, and being a fan of ‘lounge wear’ in general, I may have actually squealed when Charlotte sent me this! I think it’s so important not to forget your outfit for this part of the day as nine times out of ten there will be loads of pictures of this part of the day – pictures of you and your girls getting ready, pictures that I know are now amongst my favourites of my wedding day.

Aside from the practicalities of choosing something to wear that can be easily removed, without ruining your fancy new hair and make-up, of course it should be super feminine and pretty, which is exactly what Plum Pretty Sugar is!

Not only do they make fabulous getting ready clothes, the range of kimono, ‘sets’, kaftans and dresses are just perfect for honeymooners, newly weds and marrieds alike. Hell, any one of you looking for a feminine piece of pretty could rock these perfect creations! :)

Kimono Cool

Fabulous cover ups in super pretty prints, Plum Pretty Sugar Loungerie makes long and short Kimonos in a dreamy range of sheer whimsical prints, sold in their Etsy shop.

…borne from the idea of breezy happiness, cozy comfort and easy-living chic. Imagined in dreams, it features giftable, gorgeous silhouettes in whisper-soft fabric in enchanting garden of eden-inspired palettes.

Super Special Smalls…

Not only do they make Kimono wraps but cute-as-a-button tops, bottoms, shorts and slips, all with a little bit of feminine sexy woven in. Dresses also feature and beach style kaftans, plus teeny accessories like this scarf and jewellery pouch. Just beautiful.

So so pretty, I am in Love.

Make sure you go check out the Plum Pretty Sugar site, not only are the products gorgeous but the styling and photography are totally dreamy. Perfect to get lost in on a rainy summers afternoon, as is the fabulous blog, Between the Seams.

What will you be wearing to get ready ladies? Have we given you a few ideas or have you already found your outfit? Or, have we just reminded you to get something?!

Yours Truly,

Rebecca
xoxo

  2. Ria says:

Oh my goodness I totally forgot about this part of the day! Im guessing my tatty grey-white 5 year old dressing gown wont do? I better go splash some (more) cash

    Ria xx

  3. My bridesmaids will be thanking you for this post because I think these are pretty much the perfect BM gift.

My bank balance will not be thanking you because I’ve also spotted several things that I NEED for the morning, and the honeymoon!

    xx

You know how Rebecca’s last post was about how you be yourself? H2B would die of shock if I wore anything but an old shirt and soft socks the morning of W-Day. Droopy mascara gloop optional I am thinking of “tackying it up” by sticking “Bride” on the back which is my only concession to a bit of plastic glitz.
    These are beautiful though.

  5. Emma says:

oooo I love it – im off to have a look!!
    xx

  6. Rachael says:

This is such a good point! I only picked up on it from reading other girls reports.
NOT going over the head is so important! I went for some dotty button up the front PJ’s which are surprisingly hard to find at this time of year.

  7. Panic_Button says:

Gorgeous!!! I also only have 24 days to go *waves at fellow bank holiday bride Rach* and hadn’t even considered what I would be wearing for that part of the day! Thanks to you guys I now have that sorted…order has been placed for a tank and trouser set *phew*….baggy trackie bottoms and old vest top situation averted :)

  8. Claire says:

LOVE THIS! Rebecca and Charlotte – this site is just utterly fabulous and I have become addicted! :) :)

  9. Kathryn says:

eeeeeeep! I’m a fellow 24-days-to-go-er and had not thought about this either. Thanks so much for the reminder ladies, off for a mooch…… :) x

  10. Anna K says:

If I’d got ready wearing these my girls would have been hard pressed to get me out of them and into my wedding dress! Anyone else want to stick a circlet and their PJs on and lounge against a mossy tree?

I didn’t have pictures of makeup application/hairstyling. I had the photographer in once the dress was on (but not completely tied up) and my makeup/hair was done – this made me feel more confident in front of the camera. Just another option for you brides to be to consider!

  11. Funnily enough I was the one who really didn’t think of this at all, I had a white vest and boyfriend jeans on with a rather fetching black hairdresser cape over the top….

My best friend and bridesmaid said “Charlotte – you are the only bride I know who would have ruddy jeans on the morning of their wedding!”

    erm – I live in jeans :)

Had I have a) Given it a second thought b) Had a lovely RMW to remind me or c) Seen these beautiful creations then I so would have worn them!!!!!!

Especially loving the girl with the headband/cool hair do going on. Was actually thinking that would look rather lovely as a guest head piece no?

30 days to go and I’ve just made yet another RMW induced purchase!

I can’t wait to be snapped wearing that lovely kimono – tis very me. Mr O will love it on honeymoon too. EXCITED!

    xx

Sorry girls, – we never pretend to be good for the bank balance!

Fliss – what lucky BM’s you have – would love to see a whole bunch of maids and the bride in these getting ready.

Panic_Button – again LMAO at your ‘averted situation’!

Anna K – As always, I you make me laugh and present a very valid point. The getting ready shots are not for everyone. Don’t ever leave us! :)

For those of you looking for a budget alternative… M&S do a range of colours in this spot print for £15.00

And I bought this one a few weeks back for summer, which is super pretty with a beautiful botanical print for £18.00

    Happy shopping ladies!

  14. I may Have made it sound a grander gesture than it really is – I only have two bridesmaids so not such a big expenditure!

Just got to pick which ones now…

    Xx

  15. Hally says:

Another slack bride here! I wore jeans and my most favourite cardigan that cost me £5 from Kookai back in 1999! Fail. Oh, hindsight and RMW if only I’d known you then…

  16. fleur says:

Thank you lovely RMW ladies for telling us about Plum Pretty Sugar (how cute is that name?) I’ve been looking around for a special “getting ready robe” and I just found it and placed my order. Hee hee! One more thing off “the list” ;-)

  17. Sarah says:

Charlotte I was a fellow jeans girl! I travelled back ‘home’ (where I was brought up) on the Wednesday before the wedding on the Sat and already had a full bag of stuff; I don’t think I could have fitted anything else in if I tried!

  18. Lottie says:

I tried to purchase the robe and trousers and I got a message saying that they wont ship to the UK :(

  19. Rebecca@rockmywedding says:

Oh no! I hope that’s not the case?! Sounds like other ladies haven’t had the same problem though?

    Can anyone confirm?

    Xoxo

  20. Rebecca@rockmywedding says:

Right – I have double checked with the lovely lady behind PPS and they definitely ship to the UK – hope you get it sorted Lottie!
