We are lucky here at Rock My Wedding that not only do lots of you lovely Brides stop by every day but we are starting to make lots of friends in the Wedding Industry. In fact be cause we are so lucky, that makes you Super Lucky because, with our ears to the ground we hear about loads of little events, discounts and general wedding planning fun, ( Just like the Castigliano Launch Event we shared yesterday) so we decided it was time to share them all with you!

Emily Quinton helps Haiti and YOU CAN TOO!
I don’t think anyone who reads this blog can have failed to be moved and outraged by the devastation in Haiti’s recent Earthquake tragedy and the sluggish international aid effort. I know I for one have been sat here wishing there was a way I could help. I know there have been loads of people donating to charity to help and please carry on, but we have found a super cool way for you to help Haiti and have a cracking time yourself…
Emily Quinton, one of our Photographer friends is offering Valentines Mini Shoots in London on Sunday February the 14th and all the money donated will go to help Haiti.
The idea is, you book a slot and donate as much as you can afford… Emily will be there all day and every last Penny she earns that day will go the the Haiti Earthquake Appeal. Emily takes fabulous portraits and you could easily use this as a mini engagement session. Or are you struggling for a first anniversary present, – Paper photograph anyone? You could even take a Best Friend, your dog, hell who cares, just get down there and give generously. After all, we are all better off than the people of Haiti who have lost their families, homes and livelihoods. Bet they’re not thinking weddings eh?

Sarah Arnett & Sassi Holford Trunk Shows

Or have you already fallen for the super chic designs of Sassi or Sarah? Our lovely friend Betty over at ‘Pip, Pip and all that!‘ tells us there are a few truk shows coming up over the coming weeks where you can go and get a proper look at the gorgeous gowns on offer and maybe even bag yourself a discount on the night!
Trunk shows offer an opportunity to see the dresses in action, usually feature a mini fashion show and a bit of glam then the opportunity to try on your favourites or book to come back another time with your bridal party. I can’t tell you exactly what is happening at these particular ones, but I can tell you, you need to call and book in fast as space is always limited and who would want to miss out?

Rock My Wedding goes to the Designer Wedding Show!
Last year we brought you loads of ideas and inspiration from the Designer Wedding Show, in Battersea Park, London. Being held in the same venue this year on the 12th, 13th and 14th of February, stepping into this particular show is like walking through the pages of a Bridal glossy, with gorgeous flowers, cakes, accessories and gowns every which way you turn.
And now Rock My Wedding will be there too! On Friday the 12th Charlotte and I will be pounding the aisles picking up tips and we would love to meet any of our lovely readers who happen to be there too – be sure to stop us and say Hi if you see us passing!!!
