If there was such a thing as a professional wedding-goer, I’d be one!
I love weddings. But for all the yummy cakes, to die for shoes and amazing dresses that I get to see, it’s the relationship with my clients that I enjoy the most.
The time I spend before a wedding getting to know a couple and planning their photography, means that by the time the wedding day comes we’re more like friends than supplier and client. So if the Bride cries then it’s likely I will too. If the Groom cries, it’s a dead cert. But at least I have my camera to hide behind when I start welling up!
When you look back at your wedding photographs I want you to love them. And more importantly, I want you to love the way that you look in them. Think how amazing it will be to look back on pictures of yourself showing you at your most beautiful. Posing and good lighting will be your best friends on your wedding day!
Couples often comment that my work looks natural but in truth it’s mostly posed. I achieve this by setting pictures up but directing them to look natural; which brings vibrancy and life to your wedding photographs.
Your photographs are too important to leave everything to chance, but I will use reportage photography (during the ceremony and speeches for example) to capture all those iconic moments.
And my eyes are always open for the little details that you’ll have spent months planning and agonising over. These pictures will really help to tell the story of your day. Besides, if you’ve got RSI from hand-crafting all your stationery, you might as well have something to show for it!
Above all else, I’ll always remember it’s your day.
