We’ve got such a dreamy shoot to share with you this morning, complete with the prettiest table set up I’ve seen for a while. I must admit I’m not usually a big fan of hydrangea, but the fluffy blue clouds of it, combined with the palest of pink petals have won me over. And doesn’t that cake just look beautiful? We love the simplicity of the presentation too.
The Weddings On Demand team who created this shoot were keen to make sure the natural surroundings of the forest took centre stage and I think they’ve done a great job. You can almost imagine stumbling across this table while out exploring and being totally charmed by it but not at all surprised to find it there…like a something from a fairytale.
The team behind the shoot: Just outside the city of Rome lies an urban park surrounded by the typical Mediterranean vegetation, Castel Fusano. This area, near the seaside, consists of a forest of colossal maritime pines and olm oaks that not many know about.
Starting from our surroundings, we decided to create a setting that mixes elements from the rustic vegetation, like wood, with elegant additions like silk linens and silver antiques that completely contrast it.
This shoot is about a rustic Italian styling with a twist. We wanted to create something that could use nature at it’s maximum potential, making the most of the beautiful location, with it’s tree forest, rustic wooden tables and a door entirely made of wooden logs.
We decided to use light colors, like white, pale pink and a light blue, to complete the contrast between the strong and sometimes deep colors of the surrounding. The simple and elegant bridal dress by Yoo Atelier Milano combined with the perfect hair and make up by Chiara Corsaletti, make us imagine the bride as a nymph, a mythological spirit of nature that lives in the woods.
The table styling is all about vintage candelabras, silver antiques and pale colours, that perfectly match the wedding invitations by Suze Studio Design and the sweet wedding favours by Pratic.
The flower decorations provided by Nina e i Fiori added that romance and magical atmosphere that make you feel in a place without time. The stunning bouquet made of hydrangeas and dark calla lilies, gave that contrast between “light and dark” that perfectly portrays the mood of the shoot.
We opted for a brushed white cake by Fonderia Dolci surrounded by beautiful hydrangeas on an old retro dresser. This shoot wanted to be something that praises nature and simplicity, showing that the main character of an event can sometimes be just nature itself.
