I shall go out and try them all… wonder how many mini makeovers I can get away with!

My sister swears by the Christian Dior version of YSL – skinflash for under eye circles as her skin is very dry and this seems to be quite moisturising.

H – it really depends what look you are after. I prefer pencils as they can create a fine dense line or can be smudged for a softer effect. For a fine line always sharpen well – I rate MAC kohl and the 24/7 pencils from Urban Decay ( great selection of colours, available at larger Boots stores)

Charlotte nearly always wears liquid right at the base of her lashes as it really doesn’t move and she likes that whole 60′s look. It’s not the easiest to apply but practice makes perfect! (She uses Lancome and bourjois)

I’ll do some tutorials on eyeliner ASAP

Melissa – I’d love to know how to apply eyeliner. I’m usually at it and it always ends up being about an inch think, which really isn’t a good look! Any tips? And what’s easier for a complete beginner – a pencil or liquid eyeliner? xxx

Sorry to Hijack – but Lora I had a mini make over at Laura Mercier the other day and they have a special concealer just for under eyes with a fab lightening powder as well. Maybe pop into your local John Lewis and ask for a trial. xxx

Lora I am the queen of concealors, i am prone to purple dark circles under my eyes and have tried everything, I have Mac studio sculpt, clarins instant light eclat minute, ysl touche eclaat and the best by far, would you beleive it is good old Loreal Touche Magique from Boots! it comes in a click pen applicator with a brush on the end, and is the best by miles i cannot rave about this concealer enough! It’s about £7 too, an absolute bargain! xx

I don’t know whether you’ve seen them but my best friend and I am addicted to the bourjois (spelling?) “smoky eye” collections, I have just bought the purple set, and it is amazing and really easy to get smoky eyes.

Can you please do a post on the best concealers, and how to apply them, I have massive under eye circles and I can never find a good concealer, and cannot apply it to save my life!

Also cannot cover spotages, they refuse to blend in, but I think its probably my lack of ability than their stubbornness!

Lucy – Glad you like it! MAC brushes are great and looked after they last forever.

Laura I would suggest soft greys and muted silvers for your eyes and a natural lip. A pinky- red gloss would look great -Nars do one in a pot called “Baby Doll” both my sister and I wear it.

Stacey and Alex, right I will certainly do a smokey eyes post ASAP. I was doing the make-up at the Glam show in Earls Court at the weekend (hosted by Nikki Hamilton-Jones) and we did a LOT of smokey eye looks using purples, greys, browns and even black.

The difference was rather than using a powder shadow we used a lot of powder pencils …REALLY easy to use.

Leave the red lip with me – I’ll investigate what is best for your skintone and come straight back!

Great advice thank you, could you please do a smokey eyes step by step, I have tried to follow them in magazines before and always end up looking like a panda!

Also I would love to wear red lipstick but just can’t find a shade to suit me, I have olivey toned skin and green eyes. What would you recommend? xXx
