Inspiration

Doesn't Steff look beautiful? So elegant in her Naomi Neoh "Delilah" wedding dress complimented perfectly with a plaited up-do and The List members Gillian Million's delicate pearl accessories. The colour palette of blush, peach, lavender, sage green and ivory is one of my favourites. Effortlessly timeless. And I know boutonnieres are not something I would normally get over excited about but, Steff and Sam's are perfection. Seriously - you need to have yourself a butchers at THOSE.

The Dress

Steff The Bride: I wanted to find a dress that emphasised my waist and had a low back feature. I didn't want anything too Classic, something beautiful but understated really. That's when I discovered Naomi Neoh, she uses beautiful flowing silk to make modern wedding dresses with a romantic theme. My dress was called Dahlia, and little pearls on the scalloped bodice. For my accessories  I loved the idea of pearls but not traditional pearls so I had my earrings and bracelet made for me at Gillian Million.

The Grooms Fashion

We both chose Navy/Blue and then Sam went solo. He went for a lighter blue than his Ushers, with an unique texture. Tails were too traditional for our theme so he went for a three piece suit. From what I understand he wanted to buy his suit so it was a perfect fit and so he could wear it again! He looked the perfect part on our wedding day and I think he made a great choice on his styling.

The Venue

We wanted a blank canvas where we could create our wedding visions. We discovered Hillfields Farm Estate and it was perfect for us. Stunning views over Goring, where we were getting married. It was local and had beautiful gardens, including a large willow tree. It had a country rustic feel to it and it allowed us to make it ours. We could set up the week before and they were very flexible with all our ideas.

Colour Scheme/Decor

I didn't really want a colour scheme, I hated the ideas of everything matching. So I had a colour palette instead, including, blush, peach, lavender, sage green & Ivory.

Florist

We used Jo Wise at Floral Circus. She was very creative and used English garden flowers, that looked and smelt devine. Not too structured or matching but arranged beautifully. She worked so hard to create my visions and she did. The flowers were gorgeous!

The Wedding Party Fashion

Trying to find a colour that suits everyone is impossible and having six adult bridesmaids I decided they didn't have to match, just compliment each other. They all had the same dress but in two different colour ways. The girls all looked beautiful and I liked that were not all too uniform and matching. The dresses are True Bridesmaid from NABBDs, you could honestly have that dress is over 50 colours. The girls were all very happy in then, which was the main thing. Happy bridesmaids make a happy bride :)

Entertainment

Jazz Trio on the Lawn where a young trio called Milestone. They set the perfect summer happy vibe on the lawn while everyone enjoyed a champagne cocktail or played croquet/giant Jenga.
Sam and I couldn't believe our luck with the weather and were overlook when we arrived to here amazing jazz, glasses clinking and laughter. Perfect!
The evening band were The Revue Trio, they were different as they had a cajon box. They got everyone up dancing and the dance floor was full all night. I would highly recommend them, as they are different to your typical function band and they have an extensive music set list. They even dressed the part! We then had a DJ to keep the party going.

Food

Wow, where do I start with the cake. My now sister in law made it. We had a tasting session where we decided on the top cake flavour as chocolate orange and the three cupcake flavours would be salted caramel, lemon/Raspberry & Strawberries/Cream. They were the best cupcakes we had ever tasted and so we knew the cake task was in safe hands. Some of our guests had 4 or 5 at the wedding, and much to our disappointment there was not a single one left after!
Rosie decorated the cakes with love, skill and perfection and they were beautiful. She even had the stand made to display her masterpiece. We are so proud of her and our wedding cake...s were honestly more than we could have wished for!
Sam and I love our food and Wild Fork were a great find. Country, game style but creative, contemporary and most importantly produce delicious food and impeccable service.

Photographer

I think choosing your wedding  photographer is a very personal thing and you will be drawn to a photographer based on there portfolio or style but personally we feel there is so much more too it than that; Personality, energy, service and attention to detail!
We had been recommended Hannah McClune and we were certainly drawn to her based on her natural beautiful photos, however she offered so much more than that.
Hannah provided a magical journey from start to finish, her attention to detail,  surprise post, blogs and timings were so impressive. Hannah worked so hard and the results showed that. She captured our day perfectly and we enjoyed spending and sharing our special day with Hannah.
Wedding photography is without doubt one of the most important elements, as they are  memories of your big day that you will  look back over for years and years!
