Tara & Simon

I’ve been looking forward to blogging this wedding for a while. There are lots of reasons why I really love it and I’m going to list them all here for you now 😉 Firstly, Marianne Taylor’s gorgeous photography is a real treat to share. There is a real trend at the moment for an overly stylised dark or light edit and I feel like Marianne’s vibe is just really clean, natural and simple. She captures moments as they happen, as they unfold and in a way that results in a perfect documentation of the day. I feel like I’m living Tara and Simon’s intimate at-home wedding just by looking at the images.

The other reason that this wedding is so special is that Tara and Simon had been together for twenty years before they tied the knot! So their day truly felt like a reflection of them. They even held their reception in the grounds of their own home. And finally, the flowers are SO BEAUTIFUL. They are making me long for Spring before Autumn has even properly begun…! Let’s take a look shall we?

Winter Elegance At Launcells Barton

It’s truly magical to get married in the Winter time. A gorgeous ambience can be created with the candle light, the rich tones of the foliage and berries and the wealth of textures that just seem to lend themselves better to the colder months, like faux fur and tweed. There’s definitely something special about the bleakness of Winter and this has been captured to perfection in today’s shoot from Launcells Barton.

If you’ve fallen for the venue as much as we have, then make sure you’re registered to attend their open day NEXT WEEKEND, there are just a few spaces remaining.

Rebbie & Sam

Well if this wedding doesn’t get you in the mood for a party then I honestly don’t know what will. It just looks like an absolute riot, from the moment Rebbie started getting ready her Bridesmaids, to the last raucous dance moves thrown on the dance floor.

Rebbie is lucky enough to work for The Real Flower Company, which meant her wedding was adorned with gorgeous, heavily scented British grown flowers – it looks magical and I can only imagine how amazing it must have been for guests to behold – just heavenly. Then there’s her Claire Pettibone gown to swoon over – Rebbie just makes the most beautiful Bride, with a huge smile on her face all day long…

The Essence of Provence

It’s no secret that at RMW we are big lovers of the South of France. The dreamy scenery, the soft colour palette, the olive trees & Provençal stone farmhouses…there is just something inherently romantic about it. We’re also big fans of Roost Film Co, talented members of our Love Lust List – Jordan and Tegan are videographers who create wedding films that are nothing short of cinematic. Then you throw in styling from Lisa at Isla and Smith, super stylish wedding planner for Europe’s loveliest weddings, and the result is just gorgeous. So when the three came together, we knew that this shoot was going to be special. It’s a match made in wedding inspiration shoot heaven, you can practically smell the lavender and hear the soft hum of bees.

We were already fans of Mas de la Rose, the stunning venue for the shoot, having featured lots of gorgeous weddings from there over the years, but these images have reminded us how much we love a minimal bride look – barely there make up, natural hair and just letting the dress do the talking. It’s just so French, and trust me, those ladies have some serious style. As do Roost Film Co and so it’s a real treat to share the stills and video with you all this afternoon.

If you need me I’ll be packing for a sneaky trip to Provence…

Gina & Paul

I always love featuring weddings from Gary aka Marshal Gray, because his work shows you that there’s absolutely no reason why you have to opt for more traditional wedding photography. There are SO many photographers out there now, with such distinctive and unique styles, we’d really recommend doing your homework so that you find one you really love. Gary’s work really makes you look at a wedding differently, moments that would normally pass you by are exposed and there’s always a huge sense of emotion behind each image.

Gina and Paul’s big day at Eshott Hall is a pleasure to look at, you really feel as if you are there, laughing and crying along with all of the guests. I always think that really good wedding photography should also make you fall for the Bride, and Gina really steals the show in Claire Pettibone in all of Gary’s images.

Jenny & George

Oh my goodness – that bouquet!!! It’s only March and I’m already declaring it my favourite of 2016! The colours, the shape, the textures – it’s just so pretty and not like anything I’ve seen before. And wait until you see the Bridesmaids bouquets and the gorgeous fresh flower hair embellishments…

Jenny & George’s big day is full of gorgeous and unusual decor details, with a theme of ‘peace, love and revolution’ it was kind of inevitable really and meant that the feel of the day was really relaxed. Their venue, The Perch, a riverside pub in Oxfordshire, is such a beautiful location to hold a reception and it’s lovely to see everyone outside enjoying the sunshine.

And Bride Jenny looks beautiful in Claire Pettibone, her gown has that soft tulle-and-lace swish factor and you can tell it has lovely movement just from the images. Which by the way, come from the fabulous Maureen Du Preez, whose work is just dreamy as always.

Nordic Styled Wedding Inspiration Shoot

While we don’t want to bombard you with festive cheer – we know when you come to RMW you’re looking for wedding inspiration, not ideas for Christmas, it would have been selfish of us not to share these rather stylish seasonal images from Ellie Grace photography. As a self confessed Scrooge (Ellie, not me, I’m full of Christmas cheer) she wanted to create a shoot that was more Scandi chic than postbox red and gold tinsel and we think the results are gorgeous. Perfect styling for a Winter celebration.

But if you are after some more Christmas joy, you should read our sister blogs Rock My Style and Rock My Family where things are unashamedly festive…

A Claire Pettibone & Floral Delight

Whenever we share romantic, feminine weddings with you lovely lot, they always receive lots and lots of positive comments here on the blog and via social media – so I just knew I had to share this achingly pretty shoot brought to life by a whole host of our Love Lust List recommended suppliers with you this afternoon.

What I love the most about this shoot is that all of the decor and styling ideas are totally achievable and covetable for your actual wedding day – yes sometimes we like to share inspiration shoots that are totally dreamy, much more editorial and *probably* unrealistic for the big day – but sometimes we like to show you what can be achieved on your big day, if you put your trust and vision in the capable hands of some of the country’s best wedding suppliers…
