NotOnTheHighStreet.com have been sponsors of Rock My Wedding for sometime now… and we kinda think thats a perfect fit. Being all about making your wedding your way, we like to find quirky unique bits and pieces you can use to stamp some personal style on your day – where else can you find that than NOTHS?
Of course, it’s well known that NOTHS have a vast selection of the things that every bride needs – decorative letters, signs, bunting and there are extra specially different versions of these as well as the standard ‘wedding’ fare.
But I’d venture to say that there are a whole lot of savvy brides out there who perhaps haven’t thought a little harder about what NOTHS can provide for your wedding, so I thought today we could share some ideas of things to look for here
Jewels and Gifts
One of the hardest things to shop for for my wedding? Gifts. NOTHS has a massive range of (non-cheesy!) personalised items that make fantastic thank you gifts for your girls. There’s also handcrafted jewellery from brides wanting to take a step away from the traditional string of pearls.. but you know what? They have those too!
Personalised Initial Charm Bangle – Lily Belle
Flower Ring – Posh Totty
Cascading Earrings – Mia Belle
I searched high and low for a garter for my wedding… I wasn’t really the garter type, but I thought, why not, I’ll just put it on later. Cue weeks of searching for something that didn’t look like cheap synthetic nastiness and an eventual purchase of a very simple organza affair.… View the full post.
First of all it was the decadent feather lashes.
Then it was the colour-pop coral lipstick.
Then it was the bold, bright and beautiful florals.
Altogether the perfect ingredients for the kind of styled inspiration shoot the RMW Team know our gorgeous readers will adore. And as soon as we saw it we simply had to have it.
The very sweet and talented Louise from Bow Occasions submitted her most recent project to us as she too thought it had Rock My Wedding written all over it, with a delectable selection of gowns, catwalk- worthy hair and make-up and a whole host of completely do-able table scape ideas for you lovelies to steal…. we couldn’t agree more.
It’s Friday folks and let me tell you – We. Have. Got. It. Going. On.
Louise Bow Occasions: The shoot came about after I met Dasha from Exhibit Emotions on twitter. After talking weddings for a while, we discovered that we both have a common passion for colour and decided to plan a photo shoot for the start of spring which would inspire couples to be brave with colour when styling their weddings.
With a starting colour palette of pink, purple and turquoise with hints of gold, Dasha and I set about finding talented wedding suppliers to enable us to bring the whole look together. It was important that each supplier contributed their own ideas for the shoot; therefore free creative rein was given. Each supplier was sent an inspiration board with the words to describe the shoot being bright, playful, colourful and fun and not much more.… View the full post.
ONLY 2 MORE DAYS LEFT TO ENTER LOVELIES!!!
It will come as no surprise to some of you that I am a huge fan of the unique and completely delicious typography style art work available at Coulson Macleod. So much so that I already have a piece in my hallway ( check out some pictures of the O’Shea residence if you want a peek) and have at least another two from their range on my interiors wish list.
A week or so back the lovely Hannah one half of the dynamic Coulson Macleod duo got in touch to tell us that the talented pair were engaged ( can you imagine the amazingness of that wedding?!)…and how much she loved looking at pretty on the pages of Rock My Wedding
Hannah then went on to tell us how she wanted you lovelies to be some of the first to see the their brand new Love Unlimited collection. And win a print. For like FREE.
Yup that’s right folks. It’s gorgeous giveaway time here at RMW HQ.

That is almost all I can say about this afternoon’s post I am so blown away. We have been super lucky and snaffled Penny from Tigerlily Weddings to give us the piece de resistance of the planning posts we started last week with her inimitable, original and fresh wedding inspiration. And let me tell you guys, she blew the brief out of the water.
I’ve spent a few phone calls discussing the post today with Penny working through her ideas, (which were spot on) and I have been so impressed with the amount of work she has put into this for you all. The buzz words we were passing back and forth were the same… fresh, new, interesting, unique, different. So if you’re wondering where Vintage is going… this is the lady to tell you and she’s right here. Give her a warm welcome ladies and get commenting
New year, new trends yippee, so you can imagine my delight when the fabulous ladies over at Rock my wedding contacted me to predict some 2011 wedding trends for you all I was thrilled.
I have covered two immerging wedding trends that I think will pop this year, I have also added in an “ I love it list” with a few extra little original ideas that you can inject that I could not squeeze on the design boards that will make your weddings look innovative, fun and basically spectacular.… View the full post.
So, as we have asked our favourite wedding planners to share their ideas, I think it’s only fair that we share our own ideas and inspiration. But do you know what? This is really more of a wish list. All the pretty things that I want to see all over Rock My Wedding’s polka dot pages in the next 6-18 months. I really hope they inspire you all to think out of the box, step off the bridal bandwagon and put a little bit more You into your Wedding.
For a while now, the fashion influence in the Bridal world has been building and we’re seeing so many more designers offer cute shorter dresses, or mainstream designers produce bridal worthy gowns. I’m hoping to see more fashion in weddings, continuing the trend for toning maids in different high street or designer dresses, grooms tipping a proverbial hat to sartorial styling and of course, you lovely brides finding something unique and super pretty to float down the aisle in.
Jason Wu (at Net a Porter) is just an example of the stunningly modern gowns available these days and Net a Porters bridal boutique happens to be one of my favouite bridal gown stops on the net.
However, what I really wanted to share was that something a little bit different, a little bit special. I don’t know if I’m making sense here, but I needed to show you guys something real, a little bit relaxed but still grown up, glamorous and uber pretty.… View the full post.
