Ethereal, Elegant & Feminine Ballet Inspired Editorial

Arabella Smith

Arabella Smith

The elegance and grace of ballet seem to fall hand-in-hand with wedding styling, the colours, textures and fabrics traditionally associated with both are so romantic, feminine and soft. And this gorgeous shoot from a dream team of wedding suppliers shows this off to perfection. There’s a seamless transition from ballerina to bride and the florals, details and beautiful venue are just the icing on the cake (talking of which, in this case actually is epic…)

Edwardian wedding venue, Chapelgarth provides the ideal backdrop to this fine art inspired shoot. Whenever we share wedding editorial inspired by the ballet it’s always hugely popular, so I really hope you enjoy this feast for the eyes…

Franziska & Sebastian

I can’t get enough of Victoria Lamburn’s soft fine art style – which is actually really unusual for me as I’m naturally drawn to a darker edit of photography. I think that’s testament to the fact that Vicky always manages to capture raw emotion which personally I think the fine art style can sometimes lack. Franziska & Sebastian look truly at ease wondering the beautiful streets of Venice. This pair actually booked Vicky for a shoot because they didn’t feel like they captured enough images of them together during their wedding day. This is a blessing in disguise, as it’s so lovely for them to have these couple portraits, not wearing their wedding outfits and with no pressure or expectation on their shoulders.

And Venice. Venice Venice Venice. I don’t think there’s a city that looks better on film. It’s just so dreamy and romantic…

The Gentle Light Of Summer

These dreamy images come from the lovely Victoria Lamburn, whose fine art style we adore. Firstly because her work is just so beautiful – but also because she likes to keep things real. This shoot is really simple and just focuses on a few key elements, as Victoria acknowledges that sometimes seeing a styled shoot on a blog or in a magazine can be completely overwhelming. Your styling doesn’t have to be over done – just chose which elements are important to you.

What makes this shoot even more impressive is that Vicky actually did this just two weeks after breaking her arm! That’s dedication to the cause! If you book her for your own wedding day then you certainly won’t have to worry about flakiness 😉 Nor will you have to worry about not ending up with a stunning set of images, as her work shows…

La Serenissima {A Venice Love Story}

We always fall hard for wedding inspiration that tells a story and today’s styling is so beautiful and romantic, it’s impossible to resist. The concept, design and styling was dreamt up by the wonderful A Very Beloved Wedding, whose eye for detail is unrivalled. Elisabeth, Lorinda and their team have created wedding inspiration that’s timeless and elegant but also feels fresh and unique. The romance of Venice isn’t new, it’s age old, but here A Very Beloved Wedding have shown it in a new light. It has all been captured on film in the most dreamy, ethereal way by Sandra Aberg and in motion by BKT Films (which adds a whole new level of realism – it’s pure cinematography and will have you wanting to jump on board a plane or train to Venice immediately).

Move over Paris, there’s a new City of Love in town…
