I’m just going to throw it straight out there. If I was getting married again (same fella, don’t fret pet), Middleton Lodge would be the one. A true gem in the Yorkshire countryside, which just keeps getting better and better – I mean there are plans for a spa… hello! Middleton Lodge has evolved into the ultimate venue with enough options to accommodate your wedding day visualisations effortlessly, and enough style to give you all the heart eyes. For the foodie’s amongst us, the Kitchen Garden is the thing of dreams, and if your guests love a party then the Old Forge Barn is where it’s at. Excited? You should be.
There’s no time like a wedding for indulgence, luxury and pampering. Set within 163 acres of lush parkland with the spectacular River Maine flowing through the estate, Galgorm Resort has a truly unique setting, which when combined with the award winning spa and their approach to weddings and the magic behind them, makes Galgorm tick an awful lot of boxes, and pretty boxes at that. I’m fairly sure that there isn’t a bride reading this who wouldn’t love the serenity of the spa; I’m thinking the day before the wedding, you and your bridesmaids, something sparkly and all the relaxing. Am I wrong?…
What do we love most about Rise Hall? The stunning location, the Butler’s Pantry Kitchen, the intriguing history? All of that and then some! Mostly, I couldn’t not talk about how the team take the idea of “Exclusive Use”, and give you exactly what dreams are made of. Rock up with all your favourite people on a Friday night, have drinks in Rise Hall pub, then retire to the 29 bedrooms which are all yours for the entirety of the weekend. Pick from a plethora of gorgeous spaces for your ceremony, and celebrate to your heart’s content in this grand but fun space. No one, except the suppliers who are going to help your day go off without a hitch, and your guests, will venture into your wedding bubble for the whole weekend – this is exclusivity at its best folks.
At Rock My HQ we’re a little bit enamoured with all things make up. I say a little bit, I mean completely, and utterly, obsessed. It is this obsession which is responsible for our excitement when we meet an incredible make up artist; we know that they’ve got alllll the skills to work with those wonderful products we lust after, and create an epic, flawless bridal look. Perhaps even more excitingly, we know we get to introduce them to you! Birute Thomas is our latest MUA crush… expert techniques, uses only the very best products, and a complete pro at tailoring looks to unique facial features, hairstyles, outfits, and skin colouring, I know what you’re thinking, you need her!
Sarah has been a member of our handpicked supplier directory, The Love Lust List, for a while now and we’re absolutely thrilled to be introducing her to our community today. If there’s one thing that really puts a smile on my face when reading about your experiences of photographers, it is when they appear to have become “one of the family”. Sarah feels right at home amongst all the people you love on the most exciting day of your life, yet captures every moment effortlessly, which is the perfect double whammy of skills, in my opinion.
Your wedding day is one of the rare occasions when you can take real pleasure in someone else doing your make up. It really is the ultimate treat, and so you want someone who has the best skills to create a perfect look for your big day. You want to feel like you, but the best you. Stevie-Rose is a pro at creating flawless finishes, and pretty yet super natural looks, and will happily incorporate your favourite beauty buys whilst drawing on her experience of products with staying power. I particularly loved reading all the glowing reviews of Stevie-Rose’s work; anyone described as an “oasis of calm” on the morning of a wedding is someone you definitely want around!
Sometimes, you feel like you love the person behind the business as much as the brand itself, and this is definitely the case of Victoria of Victoria Lou Bridal. As well as creating a gorgeous bridal barn boutique for the fashion forward bride (RMW brides – obviously) and being ambitious and hugely passionate about the industry, I think Victoria is the perfect person to find your wedding dress with. Rapports are hugely important consideration when choosing your suppliers, never more so than with something as personal as picking the one, and you can rest assured that you are going to get a one of a kind experience at Victoria Lou Bridal. And have you seen those multiways for your best girls?! I know…
Consider yourself a foodie? Want an epic catering team to feed your guests the feast of their life? I think you’re going to love Bear Claw Catering. Founder Jessica is not just experienced at working amongst some of the most well known chefs, she is also Cordon Bleu trained, and will take a vested interest in your big day, offering her knowledge at every point you need it. And just wait ’til you see the food… I’m dreaming about it.
Who doesn’t enjoy some floral pretty on a Monday lunchtime?! We don’t like to disappoint, so today we’re letting you in on a little secret, a secret by the name of Issy & Bella Floral Design. A brand new addition to our supplier directory which is packed full of stonkingly good wedding suppliers, it’s not taken us long to fall under the Issy & Bella spell. It’s impossible to resist floral designer Jo’s beautiful creations, but we’re particularly taken with the fact the family farm provides the patch on which most flowers used within Jo’s designs are grown. That’s a bit special isn’t it? Should we also discuss the foliage? GORGEOUS.
