I have a confession to make.
I would really REALLY have loved to have worn a fabulous head piece for W-day. I have seen so many gorgeous brides wearing them recently that the little seed of regret is now deeply rooted in the dark recess of my if-only-I’d-known-about-it-then blogger brain.

I ummed and aaahed over a head piece, I always knew I wouldn’t be ‘veiling it’. But choices, choices choices… We make one choice and that rules out another. So I chose shoes with a flowers which ruled out a fancy hair piece, as I felt I’d look like a clown with big flowers in both hair and shoes! I may daydream about wearing a head piece but I also know that S would have thought ‘what is that on her head?!!’ as I’d walked down the aisle…
Charlotte I loved your hair, partly selfishly, as having already decided to have spray roses in my hair I remember being so thrilled to see your spray roses. I could visualise it now and realise that spray roses would look great.
Loving the triple silk flower necklace and belt. Now they would truly rock a wedding/guest/bridesmaid outfit.

Oh i am in love, they are all so beautiful. I need to head over to etsy straight away. I haven’t decided what I will be wearing on my head on my wedding day but it may just have to be one of these. My personal favourites are styles 03, 010, 012 and the triple silk flower belt.

Ooooo – you know I have NEVER considered wearing a headpiece. I didnt really think that they were me, or that they would even match my dress…may have a mooch and see what I can find to change my mind….might just buy style 056 just because! xx

They are beautiful. I am chuckling at the red head’s pout-to-get-the most-out-of-her-cheekbones look though! Very lovely looking lady, but it’s really appealed to my sense of humour!
I’d definitely consider something like this for the evening but for the day it’s going to be all about the glamour and the veil. I’m thinking Victoria Fergusson/Flo & Percy type design. Hmmm, too many pretty things to chose from!

It’s beautiful. It’s very wedding-y but also brilliant to team with a light summer dress! Definitely getting it.
I’m a headpiece girl! Having cropped hair (just had a number 4 undercut!) I looked massively silly in a veil. My issue was finding something NOT white/cream/floral/covered in silver sequins. I’m just not girly enough for too much prettiness and being 5’2″ couldn’t get away with something too flouncy and fluffy.
So with the money I saved on getting my flower girl and MOH dresses in the sale, I commissioned someone to make one just for me!
I just got the pictures today – it’s a gold and purple delight! A tear shaped, art deco beauty and ALL for me with not a rhinestone in sight! Sigh. Now want to wear it to the pub.

I had a long ivory veil with tiny crystals and a head band that had tiny beaded pearl and crystal flowers on one side. I only wore the veil at the ceremony then when I got to the reception I took it off and kept my head band on. I think if you wear the veil lower then you can get away with both.

I’m slightly obsessed with headpieces. I wear loads, feathers, flowers, all sorts! Many times has Mr K looked at me quizzically as I accompany him to an event looking like I’m wearing the back end of a bird on my barnet. He’s used to it.

I’m having major HeadPiece Wobbles. I’ve had mine custom made so it matches my dress perfectly. Thought it was bootiful until I showed the twin and she did that sharp-breath-while-raising-eyebrows thing and declared: “It’s a bit Jodie Marsh isn’t it”.
Cr*p! Ladies, thank you for rescuing me from this inevitable doom. Right, where’s my credit card…

The headpieces are GORGEOUS, I like style 010 the best too! The headpiece is the thing that I took the most deciding about too! The dress and the shoes were in the bag by February (wedding is next month) but I ummed and ahhed about being more ‘on trend’ with my hairpiece. Went off the Amanda Wakely tiara I bought–not me, too blingy..its going back and in the end found bridal bliss on the Glass Oyster site (check it out) and I could honestly have had them all! Settled on the Francesca and when it arrived I did a little jig! Head perfection!!
Oh my god!!! These are just gorgeous!! I’m now having a major dilema as I have a head piece that I know I will wear for the ceremony but am uber tempted to get another for later in the day. I wonder if 2 weeks is enough time for shipping eeeekkk

Ooooooh!! they are super duper uber pretty! I got a fab vintage-esque side head affair from Glitzy Secrets which has to be one of the baragins of our day (£60 odd squid!) had been coveting Jenny Packham Acacia I but thought it was a little out my budget (would rather have 2 more of my friends there during the day!!)

Anna, one of my best friends got married in May and wore a headpiece and a veil and she rocked it!! Try out different styles and see what you like. My friend had a headband style headpiece and then her veil sat behind it. She didn’t have her veil over her face so you always saw the headpiece and she looked amazing!!

My plan has always been to wear a veil for the day and do a quick change into a beautiful headpiece for the evening (mainly so I don’t break my flippin neck when I’m boogying as the veil is floor length lol). That said there are just sooo many beautiful places out there to buy a little piece of fabulousness and you ladies have just added another to my list…I’ll never be able to pick just one! ♥

The shipping time is sadly too tight for my wedding so I have asked my Mum to make a really simple lace band with ribbon ends that I can switch to for the evening. Luckily for me my Mum is super handy with all things fabric so I know she’ll do a good job.
She really is brilliant (as all Mum’s are) and she is making a really cool table plan for me as well. I’m so excited!!! Only 13 days to go eeeek!!! xxx
