The Morning Of The Wedding

The morning of your wedding is such an exciting time. All the emotions, all of them. It’s not unusual to be feeling everything from nervous to unbelievably happy and pretty much everything in between. I know I did.

I woke up super early feeling nervous but happy and tiptoed round the house waiting for my mum and sisters to wake up. It was actually quite nice having those few moments to myself to take in the fact that I was getting married that day. Eeeek.

What I loved most though was when my bridesmaids, aka my sisters, got up. Then the real fun could begin. There is something so special about sharing your wedding morning with your favourites. Don’t forget there’s a why reason you chose them as your bridesmaid, they are your best friends! I can’t think of anyone I would have rather spent the morning with.

Make sure you take some time to sit, smile and just enjoy those moments.

Start the day with a gorgeous spot of breakfast, and bubbles of course. You may not feel like eating much but you really need to and spoiling your bridesmaids with a delicious breakfast tray is the ideal start to the day. Croissants, strawberries and a glass of fizz make for a decadent beginning to what will be an amazing day. All curl up on the bed for the cosiest breakfast with your best friends and have a few moments of relaxation before the real preparations begin. Make sure everyone has a pretty set of PJs or a floral robe to get ready in. They make for the most epic photographs.

Breakfast in bed is also the perfect time to say thank you to your bridesmaids and give them a special thank you present. A little gift bag nestled on the tray would be sure to get everyone all emotional, if you aren’t already that is!

For me one of the most fun parts of the morning was all getting ready together. If you’ve chosen to have your hair and makeup done then being pampered and preened is the epitome of girliness. You also get to relax and think about the wonderful day ahead. It’s the perfect time for a good old chat with your girls who are sure to calm any nerves you may have.

Once you are ready and dresses on, squeals of delight and happy tears will most likely follow. It is such a magical moment seeing everyone looking utterly stunning and ready for that magical day. I personally chose this moment to give my sisters their thank you gift. The pictures the photographer took then are some I will always treasure. Standing ready to go and being able to give your best girls a piece of beautiful jewellery to complete their outfit is wonderful. Be it an elegant Loving Hearts of PANDORA Necklace or the prettiest Elegant Beauty Drop Earrings they most definitely give that added sparkle.

Then, after a few deep breaths, it is time to go. Forget the nerves and just enjoy yourself but most importantly know that your best friends are there with you every step of the way.

  1. We’re not getting married until 4.30pm so I’m planning on getting up and going to my usual 8.30am BodyPump class at the gym to calm my nerves. Is that a bid mad?! x

    1. Hi Pamela!!!! Hope you’re doing well 🙂

I think that sounds totally sane. Exercise is the best stress relief and you’ll be glowing too! When I finally get married, at some point, in the far distant future, I’ll definitely be doing some form of exercise in the morning!

  2. I get married at 3:50pm on the 29 September and I’m planning on chilling in the morning, then spend the afternoon getting ready with my girlies and having some champagne whoop can’t wait.

  3. I got married at 3pm and did a yoga class first thing – it was such a lovely peaceful hour before my bridesmaids and the hair and makeup ladies arrived and the madness started! I’d definitely recommmend it if you have time to squeeze it in, I felt zen all day!
