If you hadn’t noticed today is in fact the 1st November. I’ve got to admit I’m not a huge Autumn fan as a rule – admittedly I love those crisp blue sky mornings with all of the changing colours but let’s be honest, in good ol’Blighty it’s more likely to be drizzly, cold and grey… Bleugh.
What could be more appropriate to brighten up your day then lovelies than a sunshine-filled Ibiza W-day? especially one that’s as beautiful as Fran and Emily’s contemporary and innovative affair.
Not only does Emily have what be one of the most coveted careers on the planet (she is the Art Director of Net-A-Porter no less) but she is also one of the most stylish brides to ever grace these pages. Inspired by her favourite childhood film “The Never Ending Story” Emily has unique chic by the bucket load – and then some.
I want her plaits with chains, I want her single pearl forehead band, I want her coral bouquet, I want to be able to make the greatest ribbon chair backs I have ever seen in the whole of weddingville just like she did….
Yup. Charlotte’s got herself a new girl crush.
This is colour-pop at it’s best people, all captured to perfection by Gypsy Westwood.

Magical Beauty
My bridesmaid, Bec Moyster did my hair. She was absolutely amazing, the best plaiter out there. I knew I wanted my hair up and with lots of plaits with chains running through and she created the most magical and beautiful look. And my friend Jody Oliver did my make-up (she is a professional make-up artist), she is the only person in the world I would trust to do it, I didn’t even tell her what I wanted, she knows me so well, she just did it. I’m always very fond of a smoky eye, so it was based on that. She flew all the way from Australia for our wedding and to do the make-up for my Mum, my bridesmaids and myself.

A Touch Of Bohemian Gold
I had gold chains woven into the plaits in my hair, with a single white pearl in the centre of my forehead. This was inspired by the princess in the Never Ending Story.
I am a flats girl, so I searched high and low for the perfect pair of gold gladiators to go with my dress and the bohemian theme of the wedding. It was hard to find a pair that felt special enough, I eventually found them at Miu Miu.

Coral Crush
I had a coral bouquet of peonies and roses, it was the most fantastic colour! My husband had a single coral peony. The flowers on the tables were in different sized and shaped jam jars that we had sourced, and the flowers were a mix of peonies and roses in our wedding colours, yellow, fushia, and coral. These were organised by our wedding planner, Vikki at Eat Ibiza.

Casual Cool
The bridesmaids wore Temperley, we wanted the dresses to be non-traditional and most importantly I wanted the girls to feel themselves and for the dresses to reflect their own individual style. The dresses were really cool and very Ibizan… a modern take on the bridesmaid dress!

A Fashion Forward Groom
My husband wore Alexander McQueen trousers, a jacket from Dover Street Market, the shirt was Ann Demeulemeester and the boots were Mr Hare. He wanted something that felt a bit deconstructed and again, a move away from the traditional, something he would feel comfortable in but look great and individual at the same time.

Everything I Ever Wanted
My dress was Temperley Black Label. I wanted something that wasn’t a traditional wedding dress, and that wasn’t white. My favorite film as a child was the never ending story so I was inspired by that. I also liked the idea of wearing something with a real Ibizan vibe, something that was influenced by the hippy trail, as much of Ibiza is. I am not really sure how I found this dress, I had such clear ideas of what I wanted but was sure I would never find it and I would have to settle for something not quite right.

When I went into Temperley not imagining I would see anything, and saw the dress hiding in amongst other dresses, away from the wedding boutique…
It could not have been more perfect. It had so much beauty, movement and life. A great dancing dress that is for sure!

OMG…most stunning wedding ever!
Definitely one of the best I’ve seen….

oh. my. God – that dress, I’ve always said if I was somebody completely different I would have had a Temperley dress, I love them, I just find that as a rule they’re so floaty and ethereal that they don’t really reflect my personality or style, but I always sigh when I see them! I am usually a peony hater but these look lovely! x
Oh my goodness! This is one of the most gorgeous weddings! Her dress is stunning!
This might be a stupid question but can you get coral peonies?! I have never seen them that bright either! Sx
Gorgeous – loving in particular the brides hair and those ribbon chairbacks.
You can indeed get coral peonies, and yes, they are divine. We have them in for a few weeks every year. They’re called ‘Coral Charm’
Oh, and the dress of course…but I didn’t really feel that needed pointing out!
So now I want to change my whole wedding and have it in Ibiza….swoon X

@Becky Blossom – is there like a waiting list I can go on for coral charm?!
@One Jolly Girl – Excellent. And just wait until you see the cake…

Oh and I totally get what you mean about the flats thing… I am totally a flats girl, but so many of them just don’t look special enough. I think I’m going to end up wearing a small heal and changing into flip flops for the evening…

Emily – you look absolutely stunning in that Temperley bad boy! Your hair looks amazing too. Oh, and your hubby is also a bit of a dish
Finally – those ribbons! A brilliant and inspired idea – lovelovelove!
I too am a fan of The Never Ending Story and found the princess immensely captivating. The bride has done an amazing job at recreating that look and making it wonderfully her own. Everything looks so stunning!
