Dressing the Bridal party. It can be somewhat of a nightmare…
You know what you want. Chic and unique maids in outfits they are comfortable in and show off how fabulous you think they are.
Then there’s the ‘do not want list’.
No seventies frills.
No baby pink.
No stiff or shiny fabric.
Not too short.
Not old fashioned.
And the list goes on….
All this before you even consider factoring in your colour scheme, the size, shape and colouring of your dearest girls. Big boobs? Splendid hourglass figure? Super slim? Then hovering menacingly over all these decisions is the specter of the ‘wear-it-again’ bridesmaid dress… always a little fanciful I feel.

But there may be a solution to all your maids woes. Save the sleepless nights and head straight to Two Birds. Their bridesmaid solution is just one dress with over 15 different ways to wrap and wear. Yes, you read correctly, fifteen – can’t see a tricky maid not finding something to suit in that selection! Add in 18 different colour options, under-bandeaus to retain a little extra modesty and four lengths, and I think Two Birds have pretty much got it covered!

I’m particularly taken with the rosette design, pretty as a picture and made in a sassy knee length version or full ballgown length- very forties. There is also a two-tone option to set your maid of honour apart from the rest of the girls, or perhaps if you planned a less than matchy-matchy affair.
A little birdy told me that Two Birds are opening a London branch (Notting Hill) in the New Year too, so you can see the wonder of this one-for all dress for yourself, up close and personal.
Have you found any chic and unique Bridesmaid solutions we should know about?
Yours Truly,
Contra

These dresses are something else – I borrowed one from a friend they suit every body shape and the movement of the fabric is nice. This is going to be the next big thing in the UK when the store opens in January… i’m going to have to leave my purse at home when I visit I think – it’s just too tempting!
We are all avid readers of Style Me Pretty, so I am sure I am not alone in thinking the following: don’t copy articles – SMP had a post on Two Birds this week (which you must know). If you are just going to follow SMP’s lead then we may as well just read SMP. One thing that has also bugged me is why when clearly SMP is your inspiration for the website you do not have it in your ‘Love/Lust’ list? Loving the site though (when it has original posts)x
Genius! A bit like the American Apparel “Le Sac” dress but more glam! Perfect for taking on holidays where there’s limited luggage space (i.e. all of them!)… I may have to purchase!
Hi Melinda,
Thanks for your feedback.
We are (and were) aware that SMP featured Two Birds this week however this is a simple case of co-incidence. We have a long list of articles ‘to-blog’ at any one time and pending publication. This one was scheduled to go yesterday. We decided to stick with the decision regardless.
We actually came across Two Birds at the Designer Wedding Show in early October but decided to save it for a post of it’s own as we think it’s that good!
There will always be some cross-over with wedding blogs, however we do strive to brink UK BASED ideas and inspiration to our readers and as Two Birds will shortly open in the UK We hope that fits the bill!
Regarding the love/lust list, we are currently developing several aspects of the site, of which this is one and all I can say is ‘Watch this space!’

I’m not an avid reader of SMP, and was delighted to read this post. I don’t mind if other wedding blogs have a similar subject matter it’s just nice to hear that a UK branch of Twobirds is opening up! So glad you went with this piece, keep up the good work ladies xx
Hey there, I’m not an avid reader of SMP either – I do look at it every few weeks or so but I look at a lot of other blogs too. SMP is focused towards the USA and this isn’t – that’s why I like it so much as I can actually buy the stuff and use the suppliers.
Love the dresses… So glad you blogged this as i also saw the article on SMP but was really struggleing to find a UK based supplier…and now i know where to go in the New Year! Thanks RMW x
I love the idea of these dresses and even though I got married this summer might have to look into buying one for myself when the Notting Hill store opens as it will be so versatile for the summer. My bridesmaids wore a similar style to one of the short styles on the website!
Hi Samantha!
Thats exactly why we do this!
Fabulous, do let us know how you get on!

For other alternative dresses. Dessy do a ‘Convertible’ dress, there’s even an instructional video to give you an idea of how it’s done http://www.dessy.com/dresses/twist-long/ . Also, take a look at the Infinity dress for more of the same. Or, for a more personalised take on bridesmaid dresses there’s Style Shake which allows you to create a dress from start to finish and it’s delivered to you in 10 working days http://www.styleshake.com/ .
You are doing an excellent job! There is bound to be some crossover. I read SMP and find RMW’s take on things refreshing and geared toward UK brides – setting you apart!
PS love the bridesmaid dresses!
