If you have seen/heard/had the pleasure of trying on a Jesus Peiro bridal gown then you will already be familiar with their clean lines, love of structure and edgy contemporary glamour.
If not then a) where have you been? and b) we have a special treat for y’all – a good old nosey at the brand new 2013 collection which is available from October.
Whilst planning for the O’Shea Big Day I properly fell in love with a Jesus dress, it was simple, beautifully cut and ever so slightly boho.
As it happens in the end that particular style didn’t suit my petite frame but Jesus Peiro still remain one of my most recommended W-day fashion brands, in fact we used a few of their delicious numbers for our Real Bride Shoot courtesy of Miss Bush Bridal.
What I love the most about the new “Soiree” 2013 collection is that alongside the more recognisable heavy satin there is a whole heap of feminine chiffon frills and princess-esque tulle. And there is a wide selection of necklines and alternative sleeve styles, particularly pretty if you are considering an autumnal or winter affair.
Oh and did I mention the veils?! exquisite!
The iconic Spanish bridal fashion house described the inspiration behind the designs: Reflecting the light structure and exquisite artisanal details reminiscent of the early 20th Century, the collection balances femininity and romanticism with the sophistication that is synonymous with the brand.
Throughout the 2013 collection, designer Merche Segarra combines surprising textures with beautiful silhouettes. Fabrics adorned with glass, nacre and mother of pearl come into play with rich metallic threads and accessories.
Asymmetrical lines, overlays and drapes coexist alongside constructions of pleats and folds to create dresses that are both flattering and feminine. The introduction of jewels and borders adds texture to enamel white fabrics and soft metal tones, while the timeless appeal of Chantilly is also carried through many styles within the collection.
Together the gowns recreate a summer soiree, perfectly encapsulating the romance and light of an evening garden affair.
If you were inspired by the amazing Cornish wedding we featured last week then how about this sexy-but-with-a-bohemian vibe gown (style 3034) below?
I know I would.
And apart from those above here a selection of my other must-haves
(It was so hard to choose believe me.)
Style 3071: Pleated embroidery with honeycomb tulle skirt. Matching veil trimmed with embroidery.
Style 3007 –: Neve flock mesh dress with honeycomb tulle skirt, ribbon trim veil shown as shawl in second image.
Style 3070: Glitter mesh dress with ivory honeycomb tulle and sol renoir embellishment, hand beaded headband.
Style 3052 – Dolce satin dress with raffia di girasole flower detail on back and cuffs.
Style 3013 – Van gough crochet guipor dress with mariage voile skirt, matching headpiece with van gough crochet. The 3rd image shows the matching veil for style 3029 with elisé bubble application.
Yes you may recognise that bubble veil from Lolly’s Coveted piece, it is indeed ridiculously beautiful.
Any of you lovelies having a Jesus Peiro for W-day?
Considering trying a few?
I want ALL the details please.
Big Bubble Pearl Love

A Jesus design was actually the first wedding frock that didn’t make me cringe/flinch/reach for a pair of giant sunglasses to protect me from all the sparkle (2033 from the Orient collection, flowers at the waist, illusion bodice, bell skirt and POCKETS!). In the end, budget and logistics didn’t allow for it (stockists are thin on the ground in the North-West) so I’ve got something equally pretty and I’m hoping the lady in the frock shop can install pockets somehow!
Loving the high neck/long sleeves one above, it’s so elegant – I do like that he does more stark, graphic shapes as I find they suit my figure better than little details and soft shapes. But my burning question is…is it ‘Jesus’ like Joseph and Mary’s son or ‘Hay-zoos’ like a Colombian?!x
So. Much. Pretty!
I love all of these but for me 3007 with the flock mesh is the one… so ethereal and still so graceful!
LOVES!!!

I don’t have to remind everyone that I am still IN LOVE with the pearl encrusted veil. So if anyone would like to contribute to the ‘Let’s buy Lolly the amazing Jesus Peiro veil’ fund then that would be much appreciated.
I especially love 3007 too Emily – it reminds me of a similar one I tried on earlier this year. I felt like a princess!
@Lou I was under the impression it was the Columbian way….
Love a bit of JP! My big sis had a gorgeous JP gown for her wedding last year and it’s for sale on these here polka dot pages

I love his gowns! I tried on one over the weekend and I’m going back to try some of the newer ones in mid-August.
What style number is the one with the high necked beautiful lace edging and full skirt?
It’s kinda ‘jay zeus’ the Catalan way – being they are from Barcelona. They are completely lovely and have the best ever customer service – looks like Charlotte has picked some of my favourites… bit I am biased being the first ever UK stockist and have worked with them for seven seasons. Love them to bits xxx
Wow! Every single one is just beautiful. Makes me want to get married all over again – to the same man obvs!!
I have a Jesus wedding gown for my big day next May. It was so refreshing to have a collection of chic, clean cut and modern gowns that are not all encrusted with diamonds and and lace. I got mine from a lovely boutique in Henley in Arden, Warwickshire. They had a small but lovely selection to choose from and the ladies were so friendly too. Mine is from the 2012, rather than 2013 collection. Unfortunately there are not many stockists in the UK!
Oh my I’m a bit slow off the mark seeing this post, but wow, as Lou said earlier I haven’t cringed once these are beautiful and I now need to find a local stockist as I think Ive just fallen in love for the first time with a wedding dress and I need to try it on for our big day. So thank you!!!
Love love love Jesus and have done for an age – agree with all the comments about chic, clean cut and elegant gowns. Got to try some on at Morgan Davies at the weekend – utterly in love with them and can’t wait to visit Miss Bush to hopefully try a few more! Think I may well have found a wedding day winner
So glad you are profiling them!
I wore 3012 for my July wedding. Was able to get my hands on 2013 collection as didn’t look for wedding dresses until april. Was my number 1 choice by a long way. It was so glam and grown up and made me look like a woman rather than a fairy.
