It’s the weekend so we thought we’d fill your hearts with romantic tales , grand gestures and an epic engagement shoot…
Winnie & Robin chose the gorgeous Cotswolds countryside for their engagement shoot with talented Terry Li Photography capturing all the loveliness. It literally couldn’t have be more perfect; the rustic location with roaming animals and plaid shirts, then the quaint grand castle and glamorous attire.
The tranquil village is SO romantic and dreamy and Winnie & Robin are the cutest couple so evidently in love, it just swells the heart.
Winnie The Bride-to-Be: We had a vision, we wanted beautiful shots to document our engagement period and we wanted a poetical storytelling photographer…
Terry fitted and exceeded all our expectations and provided us with more than a long-lasting day full of fun memories and experience. When we first sat down and looked through her portfolio, we were captivated by her talent and knew she was the engagement photographer we wanted to work with.
Planning this photoshoot project with Terry has been inspiring! She gave constructive comments and photography guidance, from colour combinations to choosing locations.
For our engagement photoshoot we wanted something that really reflects us, we both love the English countryside, especially in the winter. The countryside is a relaxing weekend escape from the city!
We wanted an Autumn countryside photoshoot with a British heritage feel, cosy log fires, little picturesque cottages… trees with golden leaves….
There was no better location than this little picture perfect village, which lies in the valley of Cotsworld- Castle Combe.
We feel an engagement shoot not only prepares you for your wedding day, but it is a valuable and exciting experience as it’s not just a normal day. So enjoy every little moment…!
Terry The Photographer: The Manor Farm B&B has charming decorations and is very peaceful and cosy. Upon finishing indoors, we rushed outside, as the Winter morning light was exactly what we’d been hoping for. The Manor Farm is a working farm with dogs and chicken wandering around the courtyard. We had such a fun time with the animals and we could tell they just loved being a part of our shoot too!
Winnie The Bride-to-Be: Choosing the outfits was possibly one of the hardest parts for the shoot. We wanted something that we could feel comfortable in, keeping the heritage elements but mixing it with something that still resembles bridal and Winterish.
Terry The Photographer: This engagement session took place in November last year. Winnie and Robin decided to have a traditional English village theme for their shoot. We had travelled to Manor Farm B&B the night before and the next day, after a nice full English breakfast, had started the shoot.
Later we took a short break at a Castle Inn Hotel so that Winnie and Robin could dress for a formal look. For the second part of the session, we moved on to Castle Combe in the Cotswolds. Castle Combe is considered as one of the loveliest villages in the Cotsworlds. The castle is very beautiful and had even been used as a location for filming “War Horse”. It made it worth travelling all the way there for the shoot.
