It’s been a wee while since we’ve featured some fashion on RMW and that folks is a travesty, especially when there is frockage as lovely as Sassi Holford’s 2012 collection to behold.
A fair few Sassi brides have graced these pages and each and every one has said how beautifully cut the gowns are, that they fit them like a glove, that it was definitely their “dream” dress…
Key inspiration for this collection was statement costume jewellery which has been translated into accent detailing, Sassi uses belts, bows and tails enhanced by diamanté appliqué and brooches to ensure every piece has the look-at-me glamour factor.
So if you are in a “I have nothing to wear” conundrum for W-day and you are yet to book your appointment with Madam Holford then you probably should, especially if you love a sleeve, lots of lace and are willing to do a bit of the ol’ sexy back-flash.

The Thea - This is probably my favourite, from the delicate cuff buttons to the low slung rear neckline. Suitable for every season of course but I can envisage this in some kind of sophisticated winter wonderland setting, all candlelight and glow – you know?

The Paola – A sprinkle of Audrey Hepburn and a whisper of Marylin Monroe, or at least that’s what I thought when I first laid eyes on this timeless number. I’m also a little bit obsessed with that headpiece – like a small pearl side-plate of greatness.

The Grace – ooooh this is a wee bit Middleton-esque isn’t it? and all the lovelier for it I say, if it’s good enough for a Princess….

The Zoe – I was never your typical “fairytale” bride but if I was I would probably wear something similar to the Zoe, all tulle and fancy bodice.

The Mia - Simple, elegant, perfect. I’m thinking dramatic drop earrings and some kind of skyscraper sparkly shoe – because with this dress you just could.

More From The Catwalk – Clockwise from top left: The Sienna (love a cap sleeve) the Tallulah, the Catherine and the Florence.

And Even More - Clockwise From Top left: – The Saffron (plenty of swish factor), the Helena, the Bella and the Marianne.
Now we know RMW Real Bride Celine has chosen a Sassi Holford design but how about the rest of you?
And just for banter (and because I’m nosey) which one is your favourite?
Oh and if you want to look at past Sassi Brides (or anything else for that matter) just put whatever it is in the search bar in the top left hand corner of the home page and hey presto, all the posts featuring your chosen words will magically appear!

Lovely. Can I get married again just so I can wear the Paola??? Is 3 months into the marriage too soon to renew the vows? lol
xx
The Zoe – Sassy with a ‘y’ and not an ‘i’!
The Grace – swwwoooonnn x
Grace in a Fishtail.
And isn’t Zoe like that drop dead Vera Wang?
I’ve picked a Sassi from the 2012 collection, although not one that you’ve posted here (boo). They’re all so beautiful, it was really hard to pick one, but I fell in love with the cap sleeves and lace on mine. I can’t wait to wear it on the big day! x
Oooooo I WANT the Paola! I’m starting my dress hunt on Saturday and will definitely be using this for inspiration! So much pretty in one blog post as always! x
Afternoon Folks!
@Pamela – I did try and do something with the whole “y” and “i” thing in my title but just couldn’t make it work!
@Sarah P – Oooh which one? Is it Ingrid? I couldn’t fit them all in but I love ‘em all – it was so difficult to choose!!
@CeeCee – Thanks pet, glad you like the dresses!

I was a bridesmaid for my best friend last summer. She wore the Zoe and looked phenomenal; it is a seriously stunning gown!!!
The first dress…. i’m in love! Shame I already have mine!! x
They’re all so beautiful but I ordered my Thea a fortnight ago. Our wedding’s eight months away but I’m already so excited to wear it! x
Charlotte, I went for Yvonne. It was the only one that made my mum cry, so decision made! x
I was lucky enough to wear a Sassi creation on my wedding day and i felt every bit amazing!
Mine was ‘millie’, however Sassi changed the neckline on it to a sweetheart and it looks very much like the Sienna one above.
Ooh the Mia. Gorgeous!
Anyone know what type of price range these are? I’m imagining higher rather than lower but I quite fancy making myself an appointment if they’re not totaly budget busters
x
@Alys – Ahhh beautiful! Are you going to have an up-do to show off the back detail?
@Sarah P – Lovely Lovely, and Mum crying at the beauty of it can only be a good thing
@Ruth – We have been advised they are between £1500 and £3000 (add on more if you are looking for something bespoke), let us know if you make an appointment!

@Charlotte – the rule in our PR office here is that if a pun doesn’t come naturally there is no pun in it!

*Almost Crying*
I love Sassi’s dresses but they are out of budget range, but i am so tempted to pop down to Cheltenham and try some of them – but would that be a mistake if i couldn’t afford it? I would love Thea (same name as my baby niece!) or Mia……
Zoe for me for sure (in my dream second wedding, you know, the one with steve gerrard taking photos, miss pickering doing the flowers etc etc)
mrs r x x x
Pretty pretty pretty pretty (massive smile on my face)!! Well this is a treat, thank you Charlotte!!!
I tried on Paola and Grace, both beautiful! Paola is *BIG* so if you want to make a statement, it’s perfect! Grace would fit a winter wedding perfectly (though they can use use different materials to make it more summery too).
I would have loved the Thea but my body disagreed with it unfortunately….
It is worth noting that Sassi makes both made to measure/ bespoke gowns, ordered from her London and Taunton boutique, but a bunch of stockists also offer her dresses all over the UK and they are cheaper than the bespoke ones. Also, she’s currently having a sample sale with dresses at 75% off.
Oh now I really want to tell everyone which one I ordered but too many friends/ family check this for it to be safe…..
xxxx
I love that there are sleeves!
I think the Grace is just dreamy *sigh*
Wow! all soooo beautiful – I don’t think I could choose a favourite without trying them on. Zoe, Grace, Saffron,Sienna, all lovely – I guess I’ll just have to make an appointment!
I’ve got a Sassi dress – but none of the above – absolutely love Saffron and Bella though! I’m waiting for my Sassi dress to arrive, should be at the bridal shop anytime soon. So excited!!! Do you know where the accessories are from? Are they Sassi too? Particularly like the hair comb and flowers worn by the models wearing Sienna, Tallulah and Florence. Please let me know if you know where they are from? I’m still desperately seeking accessories. In love with some from Debbie Carlisle but I can’t make my mind up! x
I got a Sassi Holford dress at a sample sale… should have been £2200 and I got it for £800… which was a little above my budget, but an absolute BARGAIN really!!
So I would definately DEFINATELY recommend sample sales!
I did miss out trying the 2012 collection though
If I had I would have had to try on the Zoe x x x
oooooh! ooooodles of pretty
this has made me very very excited, so I have to tell you all! the Thea dress is the same style top and lace as the Bronte jacket in a previous collection, still has the lovely lovely neckline, and low back and buttony gorgeous sleeves
well thats what i’m having OVER the 2012 Suzanne Neville “love affair”. awesomely amazing. unfortunately i have found the one rather early and am now banned from all dress shops (but not from all the pretty on here hehehe!) x
Were I rich enough or thin enough I would definitely have the Thea (and I AM having a winter wedding with candlelight and glow!). I also like the Grace. I loves me a bit of lace – just so elegant.
If I could get married all over again I would seriously be tempted to go for Thea (for a winter wedding) and Mia for a summer wedding-they are divine!
Xx
I’m going to be wearing a Sassi from the 2011 collection and I CANNOT ruddy wait!
143 days to go!
Oohh how I would have loved a Sassi, sadly the budget would never have stretched. In my dream second wedding it would have to be Grace. They are all beautiful though!
Xxx
Love the Marianne and the Florence. All gorgeous though
ONMYGOD that first dress Thea is amazing, I would say that is my perfect dress!!! How friggin’ much do they cost? Yesterday I commented on a post that I was ‘stuck’ with my dress choice and the next day you pull this one out the bag, uh-mazing!!! xx
I’m wearing a BEAUTIFUL Sassi in June!!! So freakin’ excited!! It definately blew the budget, but once I tried it on there was no going back!! xx
You know when you know you probably SHOULDN’T look at an RMW post because it has ‘danger’ written all over it?
Well, The Thea has given me severe, SEVERE, dress envy. She’s a beaut!
Kelly, if you get this, I will be sooooooo envious
I’m a sassi 2012 collection bride!! Can’t wait… 7 months to go. Whoop to all sassi ladies!! X
Oh these are just too wonderful!
Just gorgeous!
Ohh the dress I nearly bought was sassi but 2011 collection Roseanna still look at it and think its beautiful but love my kate sherford dress just a tiny bit more:-)
I’ve gone for Zara from Sassi’s 2012 collection. I have my toile appointment tomorrow and cannot wait!
You missed out her new Yvonne dress, which according to Sassi is also part of her 2012 collection. I’m wearing it for my wedding at Great Fosters in September. Sassi herself took my measurements at a Ellie Sanderson in Beaconsfield (the Wedding Boutique I used to stare through the window of as a school girl). I COULD NOT believe my luck!! x
Charlotte or anyone who knows, how much is the Yvonne I’m absolutely in love with it but can’t find price anywhere xx
Does anyone know where the hair accessories are from please? The little white hat/veil thingummybob worn with the Paola dress is amazing!
I just love Sassi’s designs.. I too thought they would be over budget but just bought ‘Lindsay’ in a sample sale yesterday and I am over the moon! It is everything I wanted. The count down is on!
