Your Kodak Moment…

One of the things we saw and absolutely loved at the recent Designer Wedding Show (which you can see our film of,) was the BoothNation photobooths.

The very nice man there was more than happy for us to jump in the booth and get some pics to show you guys just how very cool it is. With professional lighting, a wind machine and top quality digital photography equipment the BoothNation booth erases any worries you may have about how you will look – all you have to take care of is the expresion on your face! (- Note to self Rebecca!)

BoothNation1

As you can see for yourself if you check out the site and blog, BoothNation is a genius idea started by Seamus Ryan – and already well respected photographer who started up the Sunday Shoots project and went on to develop that into the BoothNation concept. Already gracing a whole host of celebrity and corporate parties with more big names than you can shake a stick at, now you can have BoothNation at your wedding!

There are several different booths to hire and all come with unlimited photos throughout the hire period. At weddings you can have them customised to suit your style or theme and lend a little bit of informality to proceedings. Aside from having the photos that the guests take, (Erm, cool guest book idea anyone?!) you can pay to have double copies of each shot too.

All the images taken at your wedding are then posted online for guests to purchase should they wish. Even better, if you’re a bit stuck for ideas the in house design team will supply the booth with a selection of props and customise the images so you have for example your wedding date of monogram to personalise the end result.

And if you’re wondering what ours looked like… Here it is!

I sooooo want one!

Yours Truly,

Rebecca

  2. Jenny AKA Gwen says:

I wasn’t sure about these, but I really want one now! Are they expensive? x

  3. i loved this too! one of my fave bits of the show! mine and davids photos were hilarious too haha (and i want one in my HOUSE!) Jenny – i think it cost about £1400 (eek!) i think its great the guests get all the print outs instantly tho too.

i wanted one but the quotes i got were coming out at more than the venue hire!
excellent idea if the budget permits though.
we will be doing the diy route…

  5. Jenny AKA Gwen says:

Holy moly! I’m not sure the budget will stretch but I have emailed them anyway practically begging for a good price x

    Hi ladies

yes the price is pretty huge, I took a big gulp when they said how much it was. Would provide guests with huge amounts of fun though and could perhaps be used as “entertainment” rather than a lot of other things on offer.

I did the DIY route too Rachael and it worked really well, I think with things like this if you have the budget brilliant and if not there is always an alternative.

    Happy Snapping!

Jenny, have a look at http://www.groovybooth.com

They’re really really good and I was quoted £595 incl travel for 4 hours I think it was. My friend had one at her wedding and they made her a guest photo book that we could write messages in as they went along and the guests got to keep the second copy of prints.

An anal point but this one has a ledge in it the width of the booth for people to sit on rather than a single stool so lots of people can squeeeeeeeze in!!!

I too though have opted to save costs here and pinch CAOS’ fabulous idea and go down the DIY route with signs and props xxx

We’re going to diy it too. I’ve seen a couple of cheaper booths at £600 or so but they’re shabby and haven’t been as nice.

  9. lucyjaneclark says:

it is indeed pricey – we are using it instead of favours

I saw booth nation at the designer wedding show last year and it was the only thing my H2B got excited about especially the wind machine. So from then on that is all he wants we got a quote and it was far too expensive for our budget and having looked around for some time now we are going with Groovy booth as per AJS has said they are £695 for 4 hours (which was longer than boothnation) and we get a guest book and double copies of prints for an extra £90 I cant wait they wont be able to get me out of it, its so much fun! xxx

  11. Hello all!

We didn’t know how expensive Booth Nation were when we decided we had to share it with you all but we try to cover a wide range of price options so decided to go ahead.

I know my own budget would never have stretched to it, but if I had had the money, I think it’s a way better option than the likes of a chocolate fountain etc. I’m a huge fan of the DIY though – great way to add some real personality to your day ladies.

Smile for the camera! Any camera! :)
