Don’t be fooled, these aren’t photos from the latest Disney film release, it’s just a magical wedding at Forde Abbey in Dorset. The whimsical wedding included velvet bridesmaid dresses and wildflower bouquets. The leading lady looked beautiful with her stunning red hair braided with an embellished hairpiece and a blush bride dress, designed and created just for her by Joanne Fleming. The embroidered burgundy flowers running up Loreen’s tulle dress matched the groom’s deep red wedding suit for the September wedding. Surrounded by their family and friends who had travelled from all over to celebrate the special day. The tones of blush, oranges, red and greens used throughout the day reflected the seasonal changes of the time of year and it couldn’t have been prettier!
Becky: Did you know you can hire someone to lead your wedding ceremony? In our experience, most couples don’t even know that’s an option. They think they have to have the registrar assigned to them at the registry office but nope. That’s not the case. Meet Jennifer Patrice. She’s joining us today to tell you all about the benefits of hiring a wedding celebrant; from the personalisation of your ceremony to having more flexibility. With over two decades of experience in helping to plan weddings, Jennifer knows a thing or two about how to make your day special.
This caramel, raspberry and rust wedding theme has to be one of the most delicious colour combinations we have ever seen, complemented with black and gold accents to give it even more impact. From the wedding flowers, through to the table decor and bridal headdress, you are going to be wowed from start to finish. Organised by Rock My Wedding recommended supplier, Elizabeth Weddings and featuring many more of our recommended suppliers. Now, are you sitting comfortably?
If you like blush weddings, then we know you will love this Didsbury House Hotel celebration. I don’t think we need to point out what the colour theme was for the day, but just in case you missed it…pink! From the wedding stationery to the flower arch above the door that guests were greeted with as they arrived, blush tones littered the venue! The bride looked beautiful in a Halfpenny London – one of our handpicked suppliers – wedding dress with lace detail teamed with a fun crown and flanked by her blush bridesmaids who wore mid-length dresses. Later in the evening the bridal party all donned personalised coverups with the bride choosing a white embellished jacket. Every detail had really been carefully considered, from the crockery to the eco-friendly wedding confetti from Shropshire Petals – another of our recommended suppliers – even the bride’s socks matched the colour scheme with little gold stars!
We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again love knows no bounds. It isn’t prejudiced against age, gender or race and if you’re lucky enough to find it and hold on to it right up until your golden wedding anniversary like this couple, we think you are pretty much winning at life. They celebrated with a surprise ceremony at dusk, at the home and life they’d built together, surrounded by their grandchildren and reaffirming their vows to one another. What a great example of everlasting love.
Adoring crowds cheered and a busker played this couple their favourite song as they walked through Camden Town after saying I do at their COVID secure July 2020 wedding ceremony. Everything was small, simple and meaningful, and despite only being able to say their vows in front of 30 of their closest family and friends rather than their original 350 guest list they couldn’t have wished for a better wedding day. Story + Colour captured every emotion and moment of pure joy to perfection, you can feel like love radiating from the page.
