Inspiration

If you haven't discovered the amazing Wiltons Music Hall then you're in for a treat...it's a truly unique venue with so much history and character, getting married there is like a theatre production, as you'll see! Amy and Jim even had their ceremony on the stage, surrounded by fairy lights and it made for the BEST photographs. As Wiltons is so spectacular, the pair opted for an elegant white, green and gold colour palette which works beautifully with the cosy warmth that the venue exudes. Images come from the lovely Michael and Hannah at Jackson & Co and I think it's safe to say that Bride Amy would highly recommend them! It's not easy to shoot in a venue like Wiltons, but this talented duo have totally nailed it.

The Bride

Amy the Bride: I had looked in a few shops for wedding dresses and tried on lots of different styles. I had an idea of what kind of dress I wanted but didn't end up getting the style I thought I would (which a lot of people had told me would happen but I didn't believe them!!) I found my dress at Pure Couture Bridal in Beaconsfield by designer Paloma Blanca my mum and best friend picked it out. The staff were absolutely amazing and were really honest and helpful with every dress I tried on. I got my shoes from Karen Millen which matched my bridesmaid dresses. My beautiful headdress was ordered from Anna Campbell. They had so many beautiful headdresses it was hard to choose! My hair and makeup was done by the lovely Natalie Danielle which I loved! My lovely auntie lent me her diamond earrings for the day as my something borrowed.

The Groom & Groomsmen

The groom, best men, four ushers and family wore a dark navy suit and a dusky pink bow tie from Belfast Bow Company. I knew I wanted a plain navy suit and all the boys liked lovely.

The Venue

I searched the internet for a venue that was a bit different. We knew we wanted somewhere a bit alternative but we weren't sure what we wanted exactly. When I found Wiltons Music Hall I knew it was exactly what we were looking for. We went to see the venue and fell in love with it instantly. It was the most beautiful venue and we loved the history behind the theatre. The staff were absolutely amazing and we felt totally relaxed the whole day. I couldn't recommended this venue more and every guest that came to our wedding said how amazing it was and were planning on going back in the near future.

The Decor & Styling

I didn't really have a theme for the day but once I had bought my Bridesmaid dresses I used the colour of their dresses (taupe/dusky pink) to plan a few other bits. A lovely friend of ours, Andy Kent, made all of our invitations, seating plans, menus and name places which looked in real keeping with the venue.

The Flowers

On seeing the venue, I knew I didn't need too many flowers as the venue was so beautiful on its own. I chose a local florist to the venue so transporting them was sorted. Hayford and Rhodes help make the venue look even more beautiful with their enormous hydrangeas and centre pieces. My bouquets were made by a family friend, Jackie Read. She arranges flowers as a hobby and was kind enough to make my bouquets, button holes and corsages.

The Bridesmaids

I am lucky enough to have two totally amazing sisters and best friend who I asked to be my bridesmaids. I chose their dresses early on and got them from the designer Adriana Papell. My beautiful flower girls Imogen, Olivia and Chloe wore dresses from Monsoon and shoes from Next. Their flower crowns were from Ever So In Love - a friend had got married previously and got their flower crowns from them. The service was excellent and they made the most beautiful crowns from silk flowers. My gorgeous page boy wore a Next waistcoat and trousers and had the same bow tie as the groom. Because I wanted more people to be involved in the day I had three of my bestest friend as usherettes! ( I'm not sure if it's a real thing!) they wore the same beautiful dress from Topshop.

The Readings

I chose two lots of friends to do readings for me. My lovely girls from the gymnastics club I have worked at for many years and two girls from my beautiful group of best friends.

The Entertainment

I found our band through Warble Entertainment called Studio B. I would highly recommend them they made the evening so amazing. Music is a very important thing to us so we wanted it to be just right. My husband made playlists for in between the band.

The Food

Food on the day was served by the totally amazing and lovely Gatherers - Clive and the team were so lovely and made us feel so relaxed about everything we chose and were so accommodating to anything we wanted. They made us a delicious menu with a Turkish twist! My cake was from M&S and my lovely mum put it all together along with the topper from the florist.

The Photography

Where do I start with our photographers! They were the loveliest people I have ever met! Michael and Hannah made our day even more special than we could ever have imagined. Having Michael with me my sisters and my mum definitely helped calm down the stress levels. Not only were they so lovely they take the best photos I have ever seen. When we got our photos back the slideshow they put together has made me cry every time I have watched it. They captured the most natural pictures from our day which is exactly what we wanted. Having both Michael and Hannah was the best thing I decided for our wedding as I got to see my husband and his friends getting ready in the morning and all our lovely guest arriving. I could not recommend these two more if you are thinking of getting married they should definitely be your first choice!
