At RMW we are lovers of the classic wedding. Sometimes, in a world of vintage and over-styling, we crave some simplicity and elegance. Things that are so beautiful in their own right, they don’t need anything else – like a stunning wedding gown, a white rose in full bloom, or a diamond hand picked by De Beers.
If you’re having a traditional white wedding, then opting for an all white colour scheme is a fabulous way to ensure that your big day looks truly breathtaking – think crisp table linen, fluffy white peonies, trailing foliage, and pillar candles gently flickering in a light breeze as the sun sets, while your friends and family chatter away happily, and you soak up the love, looking beautiful in your dress.
And with that elegant white gown, you’ll need some fabulous jewellery – diamonds from De Beers really are the perfect finishing touch…
PIN THE MOODBOARD
For a white wedding, you need classic jewellery and as experts in diamond jewellery for over 125 years, De Beers strive to hand select only the most beautiful diamonds that will sparkle with brilliance for eternity, making them the perfect glittering addition to your white wedding.
The wonder of a white solitaire diamond, a pair of delicate solitaire studs, or a contemporary diamond bracelet, De Beers diamonds enhance your beautiful Bridal look and bring an extra special element to your much anticipated wedding day.
Master of the classic wedding gown, designer Ian Stuart produces spellbinding dresses that are truly elegant. The gorgeous, embellished gown in our moodboard is from The Blewcoat Collection which is only available through the Ian Stuart store. Texture is key with a white wedding and this gown really delivers on that front!!
Another way to incorporate texture in your white wedding is in your bouquet – the delicious one in our moodboard above is from the stunning wedding of Amanda & Connor and is filled with O’Hara roses, with an ever so subtle pink blush, surrounded by sumptuous sage green foliage. The Wedding Party
We love, love, love maids in white. More and more Brides seem to be embracing the trend (a la Moss and Middleton) and we couldn’t be happier. No longer do you need to worry about being upstaged – there’s plenty of room for a bevy of beauties in white! Just look at the lovely ladies in our moodboard. These dresses were from Zara and you can see the whole white wedding here, with images from O&C Photography. And those giant white balloons?? So playful!
White weddings don’t come much more stunning than the Italian affair of Sophie and Simon from Dominique Bader. Fluffy white flowers, silver accents, pillar candles and green foliage really are a winning combination and never fail to look classy.
Another Italian wedding which truly captures the white theme is this elegant white wedding from M&J photography. When your surroundings are so beautiful, we think simple is always best – think Dîner en Blanc, Parisian style.
