Inspiration

The stylish Aswarby Rectory and minimalist Alexandra Grecco wedding dress was the inspiration for this sophisticated day. With white and green flowers enhancing the venue and a stylish beaded wedding veil completing the bridal look. Magda K Photography not only captures all these wonderful details but also captures all the emotion and beauty this wedding beholds. Just wait until you see couples portraits - they are pure fire!

What Made Our Day Unique

We wanted our day to be one huge party with all the people we love. We both come from big families and have wonderful friends who really know how to have a good time, and the setting of Aswarby Rectory lends itself so well to that relaxed, but stylish feel we were going for. We had friends travel from France, Germany and all over the UK to celebrate with us, and seeing everyone getting to know each other, having fun and throwing some serious dance moves was so special. The fancy dress box even came out later in the evening! From the excellent band and amazing suppliers, mini jager shots on the tables, late-night pizza and even a few hiccups - it was all wonderful and made for a day we’ll cherish always.

Alexandra Grecco

Alexandra Grecco is a New York designer whose gowns we've long been fans of. Real bride Robyn chose the 'Gemma' wedding dress, with a fitted design, low back detail, long sleeves and front slits. It fits her like a glove and matches the minimalist look of this green and white wedding at the Aswarby Rectory in Nottingham beautifully. She completes her look with a beaded cathedral length veil and bow front shoes, and together she and Thomas are the epitome of sophistication.

Inspiration & Styling

We knew we didn’t want too much styling on the day, as the venue itself is so beautiful it really didn't need it. We were so lucky to have found Lucie and Kim, amazing ladies who went above and beyond on the day for us with the amazing floral installations and bouquets. They understood our brief perfectly - darks, neutrals, and a little bit wild, and matched blooms which were placed throughout the Rectory. We added some vintage touches with the gold mirror seating plan, frames and church candles, but kept things fairly simple so the venue could shine.

Inspiration & Styling

We found the astonishingly talented Magda K through Rock My Wedding's recommended supplier directory, which really did kick things off for us in finding all our amazing suppliers. We found Aswarby on her Instagram, after having already booked a different venue; we fell in love with the photos and knew we had to get married there as no other venue would do. We chose a recommended caterer, who not only created astonishing food for us, but helped our anxious minds navigate the many wedding preparations in conjunction with Donna and Richard at Aswarby, and all our other incredible suppliers.

There you'll find everyone you need to plan your day your way, from your stationer (which includes Papier who did the stationery for this day and Lilac and White who provided the welcome sign), right through to your entertainment. And when you've finished perusing that, we can highly recommend poring over Lily and Ben's wedding at Aswarby Rectory too. You're welcome.
