Our next competition was to Win 100 Digital ‘Save the Dates’ or Invitations from Hello!Lucky and we had some amazing entires. The team over at Hello!Lucky loved reading the entries which each described the contestants perfect destination to coincide with Hello!Lucky expanding their Visit range.
Our very Lucky(!) Winner is none other than Victoria who said…
It seems I am certainly not alone in saying this…but New York truly is a dream destination. This is where my husband to be and I went on our first holiday together. We had been together 6 months when we went, and we have promised each other another visit for our 6 year anniversary. I’d been to New York before, and I was so excited about taking him as I knew he would love it. We arrived at JFK late at night and as we drove towards Manhattan, my beloved commented that the surrounding area didn’t look vastly different to somewhere like London. 10 minutes later, as we drove over the George Washington, his eyes were like saucers as he took in the NYC skyline, a sight that makes my toes tingle! That holiday, I knew I had found my partner for life, and we also made the decision to move in together. It still is the best holiday I’ve ever had.
A year and a half later, we are planning our wedding, and if our teeny budget allows it, my dream wedding stationery is the Hello Lucky Oak range. We got engaged at a chapel set into woodland, and it is now the place where we will have our marriage blessing and reception, and on that day, they actually planted a large wooden acorn. The minute I saw the Oak invitation I knew it was perfect to represent our journey in the year leading up to our wedding.
I’m hoping it sticks as a metaphor for our marriage as well……”Out of little acorns, large oak trees grow”.
I’m so pleased the team at Hello!Lucky chose this one as it happened to be my favourite too, I love NYC and I love the sentiment behind this. Well done Victoria!!! The team were so hard pressed to choose they have also decided to offer two pacs of letterpress cards to the following ladies as a runners up prize!
Well done Rebecca, Anna K, Hannah, Eleanor, Carrie and Emily!!!
Vintage (Fancy) Crockery from Idyllic Days
Another super pretty surprise was the offer of winning Vintage Crockery Hire for ten of your friends courtesy of Idyllic days – perfect for a Hen Party!
And the winner is SophieC! We just had to choose Sophie, who has very unselfishly entered this competition on her friends behalf and because we’re all about the sisterhood here at Rock My Wedding we are saluting her with this fabulous prize! Here’s what she said…
I just had to enter this competition – not for myself (although I am a bride-to-be) but for my very very best and most wonderful friend who is getting wed next year.
And I’ll tell you why.
Super lovely friend is getting married on a very tight budget as she & husband-to-be are not in any way rich but very much in love and are planning a fabulous summer wedding in 2011. Theme is 50s / vintage /British / country tea party and I just know it is going to be spectacular as my friend is the most talented & creative person I know. She only has one bridesmaid, who has already made it clear that she doesn’t really want to be very involved….so I have taken it upon myself to help out wherever I can, including trying to think of a suitably fun but not wallet busting hen weekend. This would be just perfection! Bride-to-be is in the South-East and is OBSESSED with tea! Please please please help me make a very special girl’s hen do even more special.
And apologies for the long post!
Not at all Sophie – Hope your friend enjoys it!
