Inspiration

It's December on Sunday, December! We can hardly believe it, but before we go into full Winter wonderland mode, we thought we'd share this stunning Autumnal wedding at a pub in Kerry, Ireland. Complete with deep red and green Autumn bouquet and wedding flowers, a customised high low Elbeth Gillis wedding dress, plus, some amazing reception captures including the couples singing waiter.

What Made Our Day Unique

"Involvement of family & friends: bride's sister did loads of DIY decor, brothers drove the bridal party in their Opels, post-ceremony photos at bride's home, ceremony singing by friends & family, mothers baked cakes, foliage from bride's home used, wedding rings made from mom's old gold necklace, groom & friends did spin class taught by bride's cousin morning of wedding, people travelled from afar (Australia, USA, Dubai, Germany, Peru)

Kept things local: ceremony, reception, accommodation, afters all within 5min walk in Killorglin town. Guests parked cars Thursday night & didn't use them again until Sunday morning. Local suppliers as able." - Eimear & Eddie

Autumn Bouquet

The famous quote "I must have flowers always and always" by Claude Monet always springs to mind when I fall for fabulous floral designs. From its bulbous size to the deep red and purple-hued blooms mixed with green foliage, this Autumn bouquet is ticking all the boxes. There are matching buttonholes and floral arrangements, plus greenery runners and sprigs for the wedding reception and cake table.

Inspiration & Styling

Relaxed & fun (tapas for dinner followed by a singing waiter & then a swing band). The wedding was in October in far south-west Ireland so we embraced that vibe: loads of foliage (photos in my family home's wild garden), & twinkling lights. We went for rich colours: flowers, bridal party outfits, make-up & decor (no pastels); deep greens, browns, gold and berries (the florist was AMAZING and got the vibe 100%). We didn't want things too perfect or "matchy" (bridal party chose their own shoes/accessories/makeup; loose wild look to the flowers & decor).

Eimear & Eddie
Wedding entertainment was always at the forefront of Eimear and Eddie's wedding planning. They love to dance, so it was no surprise a huge chunk of their wedding budget went on booking an amazing swing band. They also had a singing waiter during the wedding breakfast and had a hoot as a result. If you need some help and advice on how to allocate your wedding budget, or would like to hear more about the different types of wedding entertainers you can book give our Wedding Entertainment Podcast a listen. You won't regret it, you may be humming Billy Ray for the rest of the day, but you definitely won't regret it.
