Inspiration

The best thing about working at Rock My Wedding is seeing all the innovative ways couples decorate their weddings. People's true personalities really shine through and you get a sense for what couples are really like. We can tell from Caroline & Dan's gorgeous balloon cloud they are a super stylish, incredibly fun couple. They also give great advice to future newlyweds "Just do you". Don't try and please anyone else, do the things you want, have the food you like and revel in a day that's all about you both. Just be a bit selfish and don't worry too much what people think - the main thing is you have the best time." Here, here!

What Made Our Day Unique

"I think our day was unique because from start to finish, we tried to create a representation of us right now - at this point of time in our lives. We didn't stick too closely to tradition but did involve some magical London locations with a stylish, modern twist to make them feel special to us. We chose a reception venue that we absolutely love to hang out at, White City House at BBC Television Centre. It is situated in the area of London where we first met, dated and lived together in our first flat - so it was super special to us. As a venue they don't really 'do weddings', but that was even more appealing, as it didn't box us into any pre-conceived ideas of what should happen when, or what anything should be like." - Caroline & Dan

Balloon Cloud

We love seeing different ways couples use balloon decor at their weddings. Today's balloon cloud is a particular beauty, beautifully framing the top table and then later the first dance in gorgeous metallic and matt finishes. Caroline & Dan also carry a giant balloon with them during the epic confetti moment. Which Irene Yap captured to perfection.

Styling

I guess the vibe we were going for was a modern take on a city wedding. So, from the famous red Routemaster, the ceremony at The Old Marylebone Town Hall and having the reception at the infamous BBC Television Centre - we wanted to create a modern feel, housed in iconic London landmarks. The favourite moment of the day was when we walked into the reception at White City House as Mr & Mrs All our friends and family lined the entrance, and for the first time we saw the whole space come together; the Bonbon balloon cloud, foliage I had gone to the Covent Garden Flower Market at 4 am to collect, the details of all the stationary on every table, everyone with a champagne saucer in hand... I remember thinking... TFFT, it has all actually worked!
