Inspiration

This boho beach elopement proves your ceremony can be as intimate and minimalistic as you'd like or as extravagant and fun as you'd like. Stylist SenStyle has shown us how a few key floral arrangements can make your day with an epic flower crown, bouquet and ankle corsage. As well as a way of extending the nuptials with a picnic, complete with sweetheart table, a whiskey bar and of course cake!

Vision

Bohemian inspiration at the beach and an ancient Greek castle with colourful flowers and decor.

Inspiration & Styling

When it came to choosing the colours, we instinctively chose the navy & the dusty blue of the sea, combined with the green of the olive groves, the stone-grey of the castle walls, but also the beauty of the burgundy mansion which would stand out and intensify our palette. Our main goal as “SenSyle Events” was to affiliate the aura and translate the architecture of the ancient castle walls reaching the sea. We achieved that by using only natural materials that match the landscape and by designing outstanding flower arrangements using hydrangeas, roses, tulips, delphinium, Muscari, Hingham, astilbe, doggy, ashram, pampas grass, myositis and Pinophyta. One perfectly well created Apse, a floral piece of art by “Comme ça - Fleurs décor”, was set up on the beach and near the waves of the Mediterranean sea. Like the Castle of Aigosthenon, the apse loomed imposingly from the ground urging your thoughts to the past while watching the dreamy flower movements

Sweetheart Table

The styled shoot was framed with two more sets, from “SenSyle Events”, the sweetheart table and the coffee & whiskey bar! Both were designed based on the location but also as a new proposition, beyond the classic candy bars. The Coffee & whiskey bar was placed at a marvellous sculptured spot where the sea had spilt the soil and created a natural cave consisting of the roots of the shrubs alone. Instead of tables, authentic vintage chests were used that brought their story back from the past and became our two separate lounge stools. One with the Nespresso machines and accompanying items such as cupcakes, cake pops, along with a naked cake, minimalist-ically embellished with pomegranate, and a three-tier blue coloured cake in wavy texture, to match the seascape. To achieve harmony with the natural elements, the sweetheart table was set on wooden pallets. We envisioned the couple enjoying a rich meal next to the sounds of the sea. The crockery in blue and blue colours, combined with aged gold cutlery that has the natural wear of time, with polyhedron jars, filled with greenery and traditional old oil lamps of various designs and sizes.

Beach Elopement

Hands up who loves going to the beach? (I do, I do, I do!) Just close your eyes and imagine saying your vows there... dreamy eh?! Well, actually, open your eyes and take a look at how SenStyle and team have shown you how it can be done. Not only have they included the shoreline ceremony, with impressive wooden branch and dried grass floral arrangement, but they have also shown you how to have an intimate picnic for two with wooden pallets, sweet treats and a beverage of your choice. All whilst looking incredible I might add.

Bridal Fashion

The protagonist of our dreamy scene, our bride, wore a romantic handmade wedding dress with crocheted embellishments from the Hellenic Vintage collection by “Atelier Zolotas”. The style and the fabrics of the wedding dress inspired us to use crocheted macramé, made by “Bohochoco” to photograph the couple as a suggestion next to the seating chart of their guests, but also as a backdrop placed in a mansion of olive trees! The brilliant bride wreath and bouquet by “Comme ça - Fleurs décor” fit perfectly with the little chapel’s wooden door in deep red-brown colour. For the imposing wreath, the cymbidium orchid was chosen to illuminate and highlight our bride's beauty. Pansy, delphinium, meridian, tulips and roses added a natural and highly feminine approach to her look, giving the more “boho style” we wanted. A flower corsage embraced the bride's foot and gave the final touch.

Decor & Details

It is often the small yet innovative and passionate details that can make the difference. All of the written elements on our set were entirely made by hand. By using the calligraphic and illustrational expertise of “Ambletters”, every word and every image was painted directly on the different items by hand, making them unique in the most literal sense. The couple's vows were written directly on linen towels and on the handmade menu cards and were specifically placed to create a stylish minimalist table! Invitations, save the date- table- and rsvp- cards, stone place holders and much more were all handmade, hand-painted and handwritten. Even the plexiglass boards, part of a more modern side, were handwritten in order to avoid ready-made prints entirely. “Pimpinella Project” provided us with the beautiful stone place holders, the unique hand-cut vintage papery, linen towels and all of the materials needed to make the words stand out.
