Becky & James

I’ve been lucky enough to have attended a wedding at this morning’s big day venue – The Curradine Barns – and I can attest to its beauty and the fantastic food provided by the catering team there. I was amazed though to see how different it looked from how I remembered it when I looked at the photos from Becky and James’ wedding however – still completely wonderful but altered nonetheless. Proof then that even the simplest touches like bunting and flowers can truly change a venue into a special place that reflects you as a couple for the day.

Becky is a stunner in her lace dress with a smile that radiates her entire face and James is clearly a smitten kitten. Oh and I couldn’t not mention their awesome bags of confetti – so colourful and bright and fun! I just know you’ll love them too!

Becky The Bride: We tried to personalise the day as much as possible and many of the decorations were collected during our engagement. We set about adding personal touches to every part of our big day – painting old spirit bottles peach for table centerpieces, recycling an old vintage frame for use as the table planner and using an old suitcase to collect our wedding cards. We even picked sloes to produce homemade gin for our favours and put together a Polaroid photo guest book!

My in-laws helped with all the small touches and my husband’s friend supplied the sliced trunks for the centrepieces which my father-in-law helped smooth and varnish. My mother-in-law assisted with the bunting and the table plan. We had a personalised wedding website made and used e-invites to let guests know about our day at The Curradine Barns.

We got engaged on Christmas Day 2013 and being big foodies and working in the catering industry we made a beeline for the Curradine Barns in Worcestershire for our wedding venue where we were able to design our own menu and even use our own vintage plates.
